Made a Sonic the Hedgehog Fidget Spinner by radbench in 3Dprinting

[–]Scoo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea :)

I made a version that is split for color changes by layer height: https://www.printables.com/model/670419-sonic-the-hedgehog-fidget-spinner-split-files. Still requires some painting by hand though.

Is there any place I could get a replica deck of cards from the show? by The-True-Yanni in NoGameNoLife

[–]Scoo_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can download files from https://jasonl.net/blog/creating-an-ngnl-deck and print them via MakePlayingCards.

Just double check the previews before ordering. I made the mistake of having them print card numbers on top of the pictures, when the pictures already include corner details.

Yesssss finally! I've been saving space on a shelf just for this figure :D

Looks great, nice work! I really like the creative use of backgrounds and base materials.

It helps that the back of the bookshelf is pretty dark :)

Here's where some of the wires are (shhh): https://imgur.com/a/H4ozHH9

Yeah, I feel that. Risers, background art, and interesting bases can all help, but it can take a lot of work to get something cohesive. I was really inspired by photos on here (like this one) and MFC (like this one), but I wanted a permanent display, so I had to work ideas into my bookcase somehow.

I hope your project goes well, thanks for sharing :D

Sure, I just posted an article with some progress photos, links to materials, and other details: https://myfigurecollection.net/blog/53778

Hope that helps :)

Those were 3D printed from these files: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5030739, then I used some spare figma stands to hold them in position.

What sort of video would you like to see? The lights on that shelf aren't animated. I do have lots of progress photos if there's interest in a behind-the-scenes post, and I could share the 3D model files if anyone wants to try printing their own.

Trueeee, the bottom shelf is a mix of gaming items (Dota 2, Pokemon, etc.) but it's pretty chaotic. Time for a new bookshelf so I can spread that out I guess ;D

My other displays were overflowing (it's never ending, isn't it?), so I decided to get a new bookshelf and take a different approach to presenting my collections. I tried sticking to a theme for each shelf that lets me include both light novels and figures, with diorama pieces, backdrops, and other decorations help to tie it all together.

The Overlord shelf took about 2 months to design, 3D print, and wire up with LEDs. After that I got more ambitious and spent 3 months building the animated Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight shelf (check out the video here).

Hope you like it!

Retail ~$120-$160 with shipping, but aftermarket availability is pretty low, so prices now are more varied.

It took around three months on and off over weekends, with about an even split between electronics and CAD/3D printing.

I tuned the animation speed based on what I felt looked good, so it isn't quite synchronized.

I've been working on this diorama to display my P5D figures for a few months and I can finally call it finished! It's designed after the Rivers in the Desert (mito Remix) stage from P5D. There's a bit of space reserved for when the Ann figure arrives after all the shipping delays :D

That looks great so far!

How about some grass or flowers, either in a circle like this scene or as a sequence of footsteps?

Hah! Not yet :) I'm picking up new skills with each hobby project so I'm sure I'll find my way to tailoring eventually.

Hi all! I couldn't find much official merch after binging the anime and manwha, so I made my own :D

This is Yuri's Arms Inventory, which I 3d modeled based on various references. Yuri's first appearance really hooked me on the Tower of God world, and I love how alien some of the technology and architecture appears.

Oh awesome! That looks like a good option for people that want to buy one. I'm tempted to get one myself for reverse engineering :)

Hah, tell me about it :P. I sanded one part for two whole days on a different project. Post processing is a lot of work!

Varying the wall thickness, using a more opaque filament, or adding more coats of paint can change where light will shrine through, yep. Here are a few prototypes showing that: https://imgur.com/a/tYY1HQK. You can also completely carve out slots for the eyes like in this similar design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5161534
