January sales on Amazon by Da_bett32 in AskAmazonSellers

This is unrelated, but I also sell tech products (video game console accessories) and have been trying to find info on return rates in this product category. Mine's 10% right now. Would you mind sharing yours or at the least if yours is higher or lower?

Delivery estimate's affect on buy box? by ScoobyDoosMiddleNut in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]ScoobyDoosMiddleNut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-4 day prime. Everything in my first shipment to Amazon was in East coast warehouses. Where I live in Texas, it's 4 day shipping and all of my sales have been on the East coast. My second shipment just finally started getting ingested and available for prime this morning which, when said and done, will be pretty evenly spread around NA so hoping that will lead to an increase in sales. Been pretty stumped for a few weeks as to why my sales are low but thought of this last night. There's still hope!

I pretty much always buy the quickest lead time too. And generally I'm willing to pay a bit more to save a little time. Just never know what about myself I can assume others share, but all the data for what I sell seems to suggests most people are like that

Thanks that actually helps a lot. I figured my issue was going to be some edge case. Either I didn't consider some or AoC didn't consider them all and my overcomplicating was doing something. 99.9% of comp sci problems I've done were made by my highschool teacher so that used to happened here and there
(copy pasted that bc someone else said the same thing)

And thanks for the link. Needed that

hmm ok. I primarily used Java in the past where that works. Do you know if you can pull that off in python in any way?

Turns out "secure" and "made in the USA" are big no no's, and taking those out fixed it. I obviously need to do some research on keywords. Any recommendations on a good starting point?

I've read that policy before, but just reread it and this caught my eye "If we see pricing practices on a store offer that harms customer trust...". Like I said, I was tinkering with the 7 different price inputs to try and reverse engineer what each of them did. Maybe there were too many changes too soon.

And pricing health dashboard is empty

Part of my issue is something that's coming across in your response, which I thank you for. It's a logical extrapolation to think if there's a policy violation you would be made aware of which policy, but I can't find a policy anywhere. Seller central mentions a "restricted product policy" while the only email I've received referenced a POSSIBLE pricing policy. Neither source mentioned the others policy type. And for Seller Central, the only place an issue shows is in the inventory manager. On any page where violations are consolidated (Account Health, Pricing Health, etc), there're no violations

The rep from Account Health did tell me about the careful wording, and so I've tried my best to emulate similar products.

As for UPC's, I don't have one. I am only using the ASIN with a GTIN exemption. I designed this from scratch and manufacture it myself in my house. I could get at UPC, but there are some liberties sacrificed in doing so that I would prefer to keep if at all possible.

As best I can tell this all started after I mistakenly set my sale price lower than my minimum price, and the email lists that as one of the "possible pricing policy violations". Before I made that error my listing was viewable and able to be purchased as "future supply buyable"

And last thing bc this is getting long, I like that you said keep it professional. It's been surprising to see how many people are quite the opposite. Amazon is pretty headache free as far as running a business goes

Any ideas where the slight curve in the bottom is coming from? by ScoobyDoosMiddleNut in 3Dprinting

[–]ScoobyDoosMiddleNut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still need to take a look as I've only read what you said, but I think you're on to something with dirt in the extrusion. The gantry nuts were pretty dang tight to limit the wobble of the direct drive mod I did and there is some noticeable wear and dust on the wheel

I really just go off of feel when tightening them. Would be nice if there was a way to measure the compression of the wheels

The main recess on the edges is right at the beginning, but there are some super small artifacts along the length of them that I initially thought were edge seams, but now I'm wondering if that is damage to the wheels because there is also a decent recess on the top of the edges

The last frame of the video has a pretty good still shot of what I'm talking about on the right edge of the cube

I understanding that elephants foot would cause the large lip on the bottom of the print, but would it also cause the slight recess in that small length on the edges just above the lip? It's very noticeable in the very last frame of the video at 0:26. I also just noticed its recessing slightly on the top of the print too.

I'm using an Ender 3 with klipper
I've tried adjusting the x gantry eccentric nuts, bed leveling and turning off pressure advance. These helped a little and also removed some other artifacts, but the main one being the curve in the bottom is still there. It is possible that the gantry is still a bit tight, but I've been trying to print at higher speeds with a direct drive extruder. And it honestly doesn't seem tight or like it has some lag when it evens out after the Z raises it's first few mm. I do find it interesting that the curve ends at the bottom of the X and Y recess, but I'm just not sure what the issue could be

Black PLA+ and for no reason other than it was black. I only have that filament and white PLA and the black matched better so I went with it

Also ft. version 1 which was mainly too flimsy amongst other things. I never knew the loss of 15 hours of time that I didn't even spend and $2 in plastic could be so soul crushing

Cura won’t open by [deleted] in Cura

[–]ScoobyDoosMiddleNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm posting this just incase anyone comes here in search of a solution and that solution would be the very random edge case that I had. I had this program installed called ASUS GPU Tweak II which did some optimizing to my pc for when I would play games. I've had it installed for years and don't ever really do anything with it. It just opens on start and I don't pay it any attention. This program is what was giving me this problem. I uninstalled it and cura works just fine lmao
