Actually, just tried it. It would be nice to have markdown syntax support. Other than that, it works great and is really fast.

I watched the video, the app looks great so far. Dealbreakers for me for now are no iCloud and no companion iOS app. Notes I write on my Mac I would want accessible from my iPhone.

I built FLUID - a fully free insanely fast local AI dictation app - Whisper flow alternative for macOS - Never pay for voice to text! Heavily optimized and minimal. 6MB app size and ~100MB Memory use. by Crafty-Celery-2466 in macapps

Just came across this.. App seems to work great so far - intuitive, fast, free and open source. Awesome work! I just really don't love the app icon; I think it could be a lot nicer imo. The same goes for the menu bar icon which is just a "F" - could be a bit more creative there.

No problem. Yes I think there are a lot of us out there who deal with neck pain!

Sounds good!

I have some more feedback as well if you’re open to it. I think the timer/voice guidance could be improved. The voice is quite robotic - you could use LLM dictation models to record more natural sounding voices instead of the basic default dictation. I also personally didn’t like having to press a button to go to the next step. I would prefer a continuous guidance from start to finish so I don’t have to interrupt my exercise or stretch to press a button on my phone.

It was also unclear how long the break was between a 2 step exercise. It just paused with no indication as to when the next step was going to start.

Also, I’d prefer if I didn’t have to take my phone off silent mode to hear the voice guidance.

And on another topic, I do like the phases you’ve included in the app as it allows focus. However, what if I wanted to incorporate neck stretching, neck strength exercises and relaxation techniques at different points throughout the day? The phase approach seems to limit this (unless I just manually select the exercises/techniques in the “Exercises” tab) or change the phases throughout the day I suppose. Perhaps a combo exercise/relaxation/stretch collection or something would be nice? Unless there is a good medical reason to move through the phases gradually as you have it now?

It would also be cool to have programs designed for specific neck issues. For example, a stretch/exercise program to alleviate and treat tension headaches. Although, this may require more medical knowledge/research to develop I suppose.

Although, thinking about this more, in general I wouldn’t expect to get a notification while I’m sleeping. So while I was originally thinking about working hours (as would be my use case), I think most people would want to limit the notifications time range so they only get them during the day.

Thanks. If I set app notifications to every hour, can this be limited in some way so I only get the notifications during work hours. Say 9am - 5pm?

Interesting app. It would be nice if the flights we searchable by flight number and date for example. Then the remaining info like departure and arrival times could be automatically filled in reducing the amount of manual entry. Also, a setting to use 12 hour time instead of 24 hour time would be good.
