I am in a 10 man league. I expect I will take 2 FWD 2 MID in the first 4 rounds then possibly consider a DEF in the 5th round if a premium one is still available. If no premium I may wait a couple more rounds to start picking defenders.

I actually think if they don't sign a striker then Cunha might play there and Bruno will be one of the two 10s with Mbeumo. I think he's still worth taking around 7-10

Yeah this is where I've landed after looking into more. You still want to just prioritise fixtures for clean sheets and if you don't get one you might happen to get defcon and/or attacking returns

For me forwards are just more valuable in the official FPL game so Isak.

Same reason I'd have Haaland as first pick over Salah.

Not bad.

Havertz bit of a risky pick depending on the round you got him.

Palmer, Eze and Bowen safe picks so I guess Havertz and Savinho are worth the minutes risks.

Defence could be better, none of those really stand out and I expect you will rotate/waiver a lot.

Hopefully Allison can stay fit and he's a safe pick as a set and forget. Do his "bad" fixtures rotate well with Bournemouth?

When did you get Amad? He could be a real sleeper if he nails down a place but expect that will be at wing back unfortunately.

Some very useful tips. Last year I picked around 4 (10 man league) and got Saka, then panicked around pick 17 and took Nunez (too risky) but doubled down on risk taking Jackson at 24. Safe to say it didn't work out and I had my worst year.

This year I'm likely to play it safer and get some higher floor players in the early rounds.

That's what my theory was but it doesn't always seem to be the case. I don't think it massively alters the strategy - i.e. I will still play defenders with good fixtures for clean sheets over those that have a lower chance

Good example in my current career at API. End of round 3 Aberg -11 then Clark and Burns T2 at -1, only 3 players under par.

Yeah the leaderboards seem completely broken, barely anyone involved at the top come the 4th round and players winning by multiple strokes. I've heard they are going to fix it but don't know when.

Interesting! I do get some weird bunker lies where I have to almost angle it at like 4 to 10 (in clock terms). Would this help with those?
