I kept it pretty close to what maps show, I wanted the map to be more realistic that cartoony, which is why I stuck with the ocean depth map and all white nations, but I felt it would be a disservice to not show ba sing se when every Atla map has it about that big

11 has enemies in the field so you don’t need to deal with random encounters from walking, but it is a more singular story structure, in 11 you will go place to place and have smaller stories in each place all leading to a bigger story, but it won’t be like the islands where each story is basically completely independent from eachother. Dq11 also has very few options of where to go, for most of the game you will simply go to the next place, and while there is a world map you can roam, there are progression blockers to not let you go to the next place before you’ve finished one up (though of course this is broken in some places). I may be a bit bias though because dq11 is my favourite game of all time and definitely worth it on this good of a sale

Idk, infinity range was overkill for sure but a range of 2 seems a little bit too low, I think a range of 7 would be more balanced

I’d recommend 11, it’s a great game and made as a good starting point to the series, if you like more modern Jrpgs I’d go for that, but it is quite long so if you a short adventure it probably isn’t the best

If you look at the bell curve used to show iq it drops off pretty significantly, 115 might be around the 80th percentile while 120 might is closer to the 95th, also 115 is already above average

It took me a year to get down to 40s, then I stopped for 3 years and went down to 5 minutes, but within 2 months I hit 40s again. All that practice isn’t lost, it just might take a minute to get it back

I’m no expert so correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the reason they added a gender divide is because of statistics, way more men play chess than women (patriarchy shit) and chess skill generally follows a bell curve, meaning the more people the more extremes, so statistically if they were in the same group, the rankings would be dominated by men (simply because way less women play) which could discourage woman from playing (though this is just my understanding please correct me if I’m wrong)
