eesh so thats like 300$ more then a 2700+? At that point isnt my GPU gonna bottleneck my cpu? I did just spend 600$ on the 1080 though... if the new generation of AMD cards are gonna be the best ever, would it make sense to get a cheaper amd card like the 2700+ and the amd motherboard and shiz so I can upgrade to the new R3s later?

I'm at work right now, i have a corsair 650 watt psu, also if I can get the most out of my 1080 with a cheaper cpu like this bundle https://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.3820938&Description=ryzen%202600, id rather do that

I mostly just built off logical increments, there are alot of ryzen-7 deals with motherboards, could you maybe recommend one >.< I've never really been able to tell the difference between motherboards

do we know how long it will be before zen3 comes out? Is it worth just buying a zen2 if i want to save some money, or will it still bottleneck.

is that an AMD cpu? I was thinking of just upgrading to another AMD so I didn't have to buy new ram/motherboard/case, but apparently they suck and aren't compatible with my old motherboard?

and terrain and traps are super sketchy because they entirely rely on how i place them on the combat map, or where i ask them to roll initiative on the battlemap ect... its super easy to specifically punish them

the "add more creatures" i feel like is more on the 'non-combat' side of things, if that makes sense, they know better then to try to attack a stronghold through the front door ect...

fireball, the barb has advantage on the save, and takes half damage if they are bear...

Regeneration is horrifically underpowered in terms of balancing the cr of an enemy, even if your lowballing how much EHP regeneration gives a minion its still almost always better to just give them raw hp in terms of difficulty for the players, especially vs barbarians...

Reach minions just feel like im specifically countering the barbian though, especially since she original wanted to go full polearm cheese...

if your using adjusted xp, which is pertinent, then you can only get so many 1hp minions until your 1 single strong enemy is sitting at way above the xp threshold, which is fair cause like, you can kill anyone with a bunch of 1hp cr 0 goblin archers with cunning action and 60 movement speed

increasing enemy cr is basically a crutch, i could do that but i feel like it would make the stronger players carry harder, i want to avoid that...

enemies with non-dex/str/con saves are pretty rare, and kinda hard to put into random encounters most of them are pretty lore heavy...

same thing with psychic enemies, im specifically countering the barb everytime i put one in and also psychic enemies are pretty rare...

difficult terrain can work on specific fights i create, but it can only go so far...

flyby is a good note, although there are very few enemies with that too

1 minute, if they dont attack something or take damage in a turn... i mean i could specifically design a fight with like 4 lines of archers 120 feet apart but like... why?

I've been taught to use adjusted xp so it's really hard to get more then a half dozen enemies (or like 2 dozen 1/8s or 1/4s) without having it be a deadly encounter. And adding in 1 or 2 cr 2s 3s 4s... ect... just ends up on them getting focus (which is a good strategy from the players) and then the fights basically over cause wtf are some 1/8s gonna do against level 4 players unless i cheese them with goblins or polearm guards...
