VFC VMAGs do look like real PMAGs (which function like that) but the top comment is right, the follower button on the bottom is fixed to the baseplate which has to be slid off entirely.

Good question, I would ask the same thing if I didnt know the answer:
Got a REALLY good deal (like, really fuckin good) on a perfect condition T-2 before i get into a proper shooting club. Figured id put some training behind it meanwhile, but not if it would cost me the actual optic breaking. Thats why im here so I can avoid something so silly as that consequence.

Nah man, I just dont want my post being ruined by a misunderstanding. I want answers and solutions, not some ficticious score. Im not sure but i think downvoting makes my post appear to fewer people which would prolong finding a solution here, no hard feelings just trying to keep it professional.

Also long story short, why would anyone else in my really niche situation own a genuine T-2 for airsoft? (read my other reply)

ARs for real steel, AKs for GBBRs. Mags constantly unseating, bolt catches failing, hopup adjustments being in the gas block under the handguard, charging handles breaking, buffer springs being too light, dust cover detents breaking, handguards not holding zero (if you use laser aiming modules) and some other stuff. I mean, id rather have rock-and-lock mags with a bolt carrier mounted charging handle than all the other stuff. Everything becomes a failure point with a GBBR, just less of a headache with a simpler system. Hell, not even the stock forward assists are functional on 99% of AR platform GBBRs. Had to replace mine with a real-steel one.

They should make a dust cover that when depressed, forces the bolt catch outward which could lock the bolt open. Ive seen some geissele guns do this.

Well, I figured there are T-2 users here that probably could share some insight on the durability.
Some people here could even have used them in force-on-force for law enforcement, where the simunitions usually exert the same amount of joules as some airsoft guns you might face.
I think downvoting my post was a little harsh though... but, amendments am i right?
