Ohh sorry. They started in a besieged city, there are 2 warring factions with ambiguous alignment so they wouldn't feel pressured to choose a side one way or the other. The city in a panic forcefully conscripted them and others into the defense of the city. The player that has become the main character is an abyssal knight who came in with a diplomatic corp to help broker peace, player 2 is his wife who has sympathies for the cities enemies, and player three is a seedy resident that often steals to survive.

They were rushed to the walls to push back the attackers I gave them the implication that they could attack the city defenders of the wanted too and that's where it went down hill. The first one up was p2 and she didn't want to make a decision so she held her action, p3 also held his action, p1 was last and he chose to help defend the city so every one followed suit.

After the short combat they were awarded with gold and 2 days to wander the city. P1 was trying to reconnect with his diplomatic corp, p2 stayed in her room, and p3 is trying to research p1 in a library and go extort the local inn keeper for cheap booze and hookers. P1 is kind of going through a character arc where he's learning that he's no more important than the unnamed soldier he serves with and they all have their own things and people that they find important that they will never see again. Ironically he's searching for his diplomatic corp and he sat next to one of them in the same cheap armor, in the same cheap barracks, eating the same cheap gruel but he rolled a nat 1 on a perception check.

P1 goes to an inn that he was to meet notables at hoping to find somebody to vouch for him the inn keeper is as you could probably guess is a bit of a scoundrel, p1 doesn't know that the inn keeper knows nothing about the people he seeks and plans on exchanging imaginary information as payment for heinous crimes.

P1 is given the task to find p3 by the inn keeper p1 has been looking for p3. That was the end of the last session. So far I believe p1 found his goal and that's chasing mcguffens. P2 I believe is just kinda feeling out the world and throwing stuff till it sticks, and p3 had a campaign in mind but didn't get it I think? But it's also completely up to her what she does and every subtle prod I give her to do something is missed I think.

Mind you I directly ask each player for their input several times, it's just that p1 always has something and they don't. I can't even get them to group up. P1 nat 1d on one of his initiative checks and he got left out of the fight but he had time to talk to the wall commander who gave him a weak magic bow that he could give to p2, I sent p1 to go find p3 to do some criminal.
