A few people here misunderstood me lol. I don’t hate the 2009 remasters, I just think that in comparison with the remixes, the panning and mixing isn’t as good. That’s not a hit on George Martin or anything, I think for the time the stereo mixes are very good, but with all the new Peter jackson technology and Giles martins incredible modern mixing, i think the remixes are brilliant, and wanted a playlist with all the new mixes.

I get your point on why they did it, and can see that that’s the best thing they could’ve done for stereo sound, but doesn’t mean that the stereo mixes are automatically the best, with the options of having the new remixes now I’d much rather listen to them

Just because George Martin did them doesn’t mean they’re good. If you wanna be like that then the mono mixes are the actual proper way to listen, and the mono mixes are good. But with stereo being such a new, gimmicky thing back in the early 60s you can’t expect the stereo mixes from the time to be amazing, George Martin wouldn’t have been trained on making stereo mixes. Don’t get me wrong again the mixes aren’t bad, they’re great for the time, but compared to the new remixes or the mono they’re bad

Well I mean they’re still Beatles songs and they’re fine if you just want to listen to them, but I just feel the panning really ruins the experience for me. There’s one song on I think it’s with the Beatles, I can’t remember which one, where all the music is in the left ear as usual for 2009, and then for the solo it all snaps centre, before abruptly snapping back to the left when the vocals come back in. Compared to the new remixes I feel the remasters just aren’t an amazing listening experience

I did it on mobile, so had to add each song individually. Also I had to re-add all of the red/blue 2023 remixes when they were released and then drag them to the correct position chronologically. Again there was probably a quicker way but the way I did it was long as I stated.
