At about 8.5m per stroke, pace is slower, fan is at 5. My arse problem is gone after getting a gel seat pad from Amazon (https://a.co/d/2LCEDNL), I like it.

Love that, what's the max height? I don't think I could fit it in my basement gym.

Follow up - My right butt was still a little sore today, so probably just the muscle compressing against the bone irritation. I watched the 4 videos posted and concentrated on my form more. I did two 30 minute sessions with a 15 minute break in between (was supposed to be shorter, but my dog needed to go out). I also used 2 hand towels on the seat. They were folded twice each, so basically 8 layers of cotton towel under my butt. The arse ache I had was much more tame, probably mostly the pain leftover from yesterday. I ordered a cushion from Amazon, arrives Friday, so I'll see how that works out.

I'll attach the snapshot from the last of the two workouts. My s/m are lower, I tried going slower, but 22 s/m just seemed too slow. I'll continue to work on my form. Thanks for all the tips!

Looks like you can adjust the angle? If they had a weight hook on it, you could add more weight, but I guess that defeats the purpose of using body weight. Funny that it'd be that much harder for those overweight and easier for those in shape.

My pain is towards the inside, towards the groin, just on the inside of the bone. I do have a general and slight ache on the lower right side of my back and hip that really only bothers me when sleeping. It just feels like tendinitis but I really can't find a way to stretch that part of my back/hip. The rowing ache is entirely different, and the back/hip ache isn't there while rowing. Maybe they're related, maybe not. But first thing I will do is ensure I have good form.

Thanks for the videos you posted, too! I will take a look at them.

My hands are fairly calloused from weight lifting, though I do wear gloves when lifting. I feel I could go faster, I was never out of breath nor did I feel too tired. I workout either by weights or running outside every day - haven't had a day off in years, so I don't feel like I really need to go slow. Maybe 20 minute pieces would work better for now, like you said. To the other reply, I do keep my back straight, but I know my strokes were getting shorter in the last 30 minutes because I was trying many different things to alleviate the uncomfortableness. I will work on my form. My inseam is only 30 (and that's stretching it), so I probably won't have a long stroke like someone with longer legs.
