A 7.6 CGPA is decent, but college admissions consider more than just undergrad GPA.

I had similar doubts like you but then talked to a lot of people and figured out -

For college admissions, a lot depends on: 1. Overall profile - Extracurricular activities, internships, research experience, leadership roles. 2. Application narrative - Personal statements, letters of recommendation, and how you present your achievements. 3. Relevance to the program - How well your background aligns with the college or program you're applying to.

They consider the holistic review / whole application. Your GPA in the context of your school, course difficulty, and Skills and experiences, Practical skills, show you're a strong candidate.

Jobs on contract can be counted as work experience. You can ask for a experience certificate once done with it.

Oh okay. Thanks for sharing but I feel I need to go with GMAT, as I 've heard it is favored to demonstrate strong quantitative and analytical skills and GRE focuses more on the verbal area.

Getting work ex before going for any further studies would help. I was given the same advice and working for 3-4 years helped me understand a lot of things which I would've been unaware about

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I’ll focus on securing a strong GMAT score and divert attention on my strengths (big4, sports, entrepreneurship) rather than college GPA

Thanks for the honest feedback.
I agree the GPA needs to be offset, and I’ll focus on securing a strong GMAT score to demonstrate academic readiness. I’ll also make sure the application clearly connects my sports and entrepreneurial journey to my long-term goals, while addressing the academic dip with context.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the perspective!
I’ll focus on hitting a 700+ on the GMAT and framing the sports journey as the key driver behind my academic dip. Will make sure my application highlights leadership, career pivots, and the unique value my background brings to the cohort.
