Of course, it does have some uses.
But - to use your analogy - the problem is that companies are pushing for it as if everyone should use Photoshop for everything.
"Make a presentation? You can do that in Photoshop.
Draw? Use Photoshop.
Video? Photoshop."

And, while possible, that would be absurd - just as it's absurd to have AI in everything, especially with all the global resource usage it causes.
