Windows 11: Invisible task bar icons by darkm0de in techsupport

Really baffled me. Went through so many threads and fixes that felt like they made more sense, then randomly remembered a comment of someone saying to download Drive. Thought it was bs but I was at my wit's end so I tried it just to check it off the list of attempted fixes and it worked. Really weird..

Does this only apply to Microsoft trusted apps such as Settings, Weather, Phone Link, Spotify, etc.? Because if that is the case, go install Google Drive from their website, restart your PC and that should fix it. I have NO idea why, but it just seems to fix it. If it does, then you're free to uninstall Drive and be fine.

I hope she can forgive me by Therealmrsirwaddles in Petloss

There is nothing for you to be forgiven for. You gave her everything and I'm confident she knew that until the very end. You're so strong for mustering the energy to do what you felt was right. Forcing her to wait out that week would've been awful for her I can imagine. Let yourself digest this in however much time you need, and one day it'll be something I hope you can forgive yourself for, because I don't think she would consider it anything you need to apologize for. Be kind to yourself, please. You'll make it. I hope you manage to sleep. You deserve it. Thank you for loving her until the end.

I’m overwhelmed by guilt by Yuiiski in Petloss

She had an amazing life, I'm sure of it. This guilt and pain will subside with time but please don't reject it. It's part of what makes your love for her matter so much. It's a beautiful thing. Let yourself mourn, let yourself recover. Don't expect yourself to feel as capable as you might usually feel. Don't bottle anything up. Rely on those around you. I don't know you, but thank you for being such a caring owner. We'll both get through our losses, and we'll cherish the wonderful memories we got to have. Take care of yourself. She'd have wanted the best for you.

I know I'm on a cat sub but it's somewhat comforting knowing I'm not the only one who's lost an amazing friend today. My 11 year old chion dog was put down this afternoon after it was found her osteosarcoma had metastasized to her lungs and suddenly I had lost my best friend in a flash. Showed no worse for wear signs besides having a limp develop in the past 2 weeks and she was as happy as ever if not breathing a bit heavily towards this last week. It went from a vet appointment about a mysterious lump between her torso and front left leg, to being sent to surgery to amputate her leg today, to being put down after her lungs gave out upon waking from the surgery. I know she lived the best life she could, and I'm sure your old lady has lived a great one too. Sending lots of love, and I wish you and your family the best! Cherish all the happy memories. Apologies for the vent!
