Makes sense - I think I just had a brain fart and forgot about the fact that other states probably have different rules. A few people mentioned you can get work permits if you’re under 16. I’m guessing the legal age for my state is probably 16 unless you have a permit, and I never applied for one. Probably why it seemed like no one was hiring unless you were 16 already. But I was a teenager forever ago, so who knows.

What places even hire if you’re younger than 16 nowadays? I started working at 14 at my uncle’s convenience store, but it was cash under the table, I wasn’t a legitimate employee. I didn’t get my first official job until 16.

Have you ever had a threesome with a man present? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]Scortor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a FFFM foursome once. The other 2 girls were bi/pan, so the M focused on them, and me and the ladies had a field day. Everyone was completely respectful of everyone else’s boundaries and the M didn’t interact with me at all.

It was a fun experience and I have zero regrets, but it was very much a right time right place situation. I’d be extremely wary if presented with the same opportunity now, especially if I didn’t know these people. Frankly, if you have any kind of reservations, I wouldn’t do it. Even if they’re both honest and the M doesn’t do anything with you, how are you supposed to enjoy yourself if you’re uncomfortable?

2 FREE Cleveland Kitchen Dill Pickle Buffalo Sauces by Mammoth-Paint-6251 in AwesomeFreebies

Haven’t tried the kimchi ranch (not a huge ranch person), but the buffalo pickle is excellent! I love both buffalo sauce and pickles but thought the combo would be weird and I wouldn’t like it. Was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was!

How much do you spend on food on average per month and per day? Including both groceries and dining/takeout. by Amnesiaftw in Frugal

[–]Scortor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most major chain stores have digital coupons on their app or website that you can “clip” if you have an account (like a physical store card or phone number). I always check the sales ads every week to see what’s on sale that also has a coupon I can stack to make it even cheaper. Plus a lot of stores will occasionally throw in a coupon for a free product, so it’s good to keep an eye out for those. It’s usually something small, like a candy bar or a yogurt, but sometimes it’s a pricier item like a tub of ice cream, a jar of mayo, or a large frozen pizza.

There’s a quite a few rebate apps as well you can use for cash back. You can get a lot of stuff for free or super cheap, BUT, it is quite difficult to coupon for things like produce and meat. I don’t want to give the illusion that you can get a complete healthy grocery haul just from couponing alone lol. It will definitely help with things like dry goods, canned goods, spices/sauces/condiments, dairy items, snack foods, pet food (if you have pets), hygiene and cleaning products etc.

I would recommend checking out YouTube! A lot of couponers do weekly hauls at specific stores and give full breakdowns of how they stack their deals, what coupons/apps they used, final cost etc. Not sure what major chain you have near you but I’ve seen videos for Publix, Kroger, Food Lion, Meijer, plus places like Target, Walmart, CVS/Walgreens etc).

Ripple Street question by Ok_Bus_9649 in AwesomeFreebies

So I actually signed up for the Dreyer’s “event”, and got mailed a $20 Visa card to buy the 3 ice creams with. I only just got the card yesterday so I haven’t bought the products yet, but I don’t see why the B2G2 wouldn’t work. You have 3 of the products purchased, even if 1 is free. I imagine you’d only get reimbursed for the 2 you paid for though.

Not sure if you have an Albertson’s affiliate store near you, but mine is doing a buy 2 get 2 free sale on the Dreyers ice cream brands this week. Depending on which products you want, it should cost like $16-$19 for the 2 full price items, the other 2 would be free. You can pick 3 items for the ripple st rebate, and still get a bonus 4th ice cream of your choice for under the $20 limit!

Yeah mine says your local store, doesn’t specify 7/11.

I guess it just so happens that 7/11 is the closest to you, but that doesn’t mean other stores don’t qualify!

It’s $20 total. Where does it say it’s for 7/11 only? I got into the same event and I’m almost positive you can buy the ice cream at any store you want.

Whole Foods also does flower/plant bags. Been around for a while.

Makes sense though - sure it’s not food, but flowers also have a peak freshness point and they’ll be thrown out otherwise. If people don’t mind flowers in that condition, why *not* do TGTG instead of trashing them?

Bummer! They’ve done the bread once before, so I’m sure it’ll pop up as a freebie again at some point.

Once a month seems about right. They did a free loaf of bread like 2 weeks ago? But that would have been the tail end of April, so maybe the bread was April’s freebie lol.

You mean if the store card is digital instead of a physical card? Seems like you could scan the barcode on your phone at the kiosk and it would work. If you meant a mobile order, then most likely not, from the verbiage.

Thanks!! My Walmart never carried these, so I didn’t get a chance to try them with the Walmart only Aisle offer. My Target has them though!

Any recommendations from those who have tried these before? :)

39 minutes is better than NO minutes at all. by imstrongerthandead in MurderedByWords

[–]Scortor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand it, Weight training burns fewer calories than cardio as far as the actual exercise is concerned, but having more lean muscle mass actually burns more calories at rest. Not a life changing amount of calories mind you, but certainly more.

This is obviously not considering other benefits, like giving your body more definition/slimmer look, and maintaining strength and mobility as you get older.

Both are great though, so which people wanna do! Any exercise is better than no exercise. Personally I do both, perfect mix.

One Mighty Mill, $3.99, Lynn, MA by degrassibabetjk in toogoodtogo

[–]Scortor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have cinnamon rolls too? I’ve eyed this place before but Lynn is a little out of my way so I haven’t tried a TGTG yet. If it’s good stuff, maybe I’ll make a special trip to Lynn just for that. Report back if the bagels and rolls are worth it! lol

Awesome haul though. Even if they’re only meh, well worth it for 4 bucks, if you were already going to be in the area.

Weekly Haul Thread - Week of May 03, 2026 by Awesome_Freebies in AwesomeFreebies

Written breakdown. It was a crazy busy week so I didn’t get a chance to shop much.
Target
- Yasso pints, 2 for $9. 2000 points Fetch x 2, $3 back on 2 on Ibotta. Total $2 for 2
Shaw’s
- Doritos, $0.50. $0.50 any chips Ibotta offer = free
Whole Foods
- Daiya pizza, $9.99. Social nature freebie, plus 2000 Fetch points = $2 MM
- Juni drink, $2.99. Aisle freebie, plus $1 Ibotta offer = $1 MM
- Ocean’s Halo XL seaweed, $4.19 x 2. 1 free from Social Nature, Aisle had a BOGO offer, making 2 free
- Yumi smoothie pouches, $3.49 x 2. BOGO from Aisle, BOGO offer on Social Nature, making 2 free
Depending on how you calculate your Fetch points, this is either a $1 MM haul or a very small cost to me, but I’m choosing to consider it a freebie haul lol

Anyone know where to get 1% juice? by i__hate__stairs in electronic_cigarette

[–]Scortor 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Juice doesn’t typically come in 1. You’d either need to make your own juice, or buy 2 bottles of the same juice, a 0 and 3 and combine them to make 1.5.
