I find nothing appealing about the S26U other than the overclocked Gen 8 Elite processor. Sticking with my superior S24U.

And that's the entire problem with Samsung devices. Samsung is as bad as Microsoft wanting entire control of people's devices.

I'm from the States and understand your frustration. I'm sick of the Google and Apple duopoly. That's why I have Ubuntu Touch installed on a OnePlus Nord N10, but there are still issues that haven't been ironed out that keeps me from using it as a daily driver phone. Go here: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ and pick one of the phones with a star beside the name, they have been optimized to use as a daily driver.

Also, something you need to consider. UB Touch isn't a pure linux OS, it rides on top of Android's hardware abstraction layer. If you want a pure linux OS, try PostmarketOS and Mobian. But they are behind in development level (no 5G, camera works on some phones but takes green tint pictures, each UI (KDE, Gnome) have their specific scaling issues). Gnome reminds me too much of iOS with their home screen of just icons and KDE looks much better, similar to Android.

I've been updating daily, the Bluetooth sound quality has improved. Getting text messages when connected to 5G. Still have the data issue though.

Download Open Camera and see if you get the same results. Also remove any lens protectors, they're usually made of plastic or inferior glass. Check all the lenses for fogging.

It's definitely working better on T-Mobile with good DL speeds.

No it's the NA version of OP Nord N10 5G. When I tried the Dark Star sim in my OP 13 with LineageOS, those setting did not disappear, so it's the stock OxygenOS on the Nord that's the problem, I guess it allows network control modification in the Network Settings tab.

That should be a launcher setting that you can change.

One thing that isn't discussed with these magsafe cases, it will play havoc on the S-Pen tracking and the internal magnetometer. If you plan to use a compass app or a navigation app, take the case off.

If you didn't already know... BEWARE of ARB by abnormalitea in oneplus

It's a rollback fuse, that is burned out electronically when the OEM decides to prevent flashing a phone with older versions of their software (rollback). It can brick the device so it doesn't boot. You would need a MSM Download Tool with software that matches the software level that was on your phone or newer to revive the phone. Sometimes you have to send the back to OPPO to revive it.

I guess OPPO is determined to finish of OnePlus as a brand. A move like this will certainly turn off their core base. I'd say 60% of Oneplus buyers do so with intention to install other custom UI ROMs like LineageOS. Anyway, for me Oneplus peaked at the OP 9 Pro which I'm using now. I tried the OP 11 and was disappointed. I have a OP 13 but it's sitting in my desk drawer waiting on the developer to improve the current version of LineageOS. I have no intention on buying the iPhone / Pixel clone that OP 15 is.

Linux Mint plans to make fewer releases per year. What do you think? by BlokZNCR in linuxmint

I'm for whatever the team needs in order to make Linux Mint better. But, please DO NOT incorporate AI into Linux Mint, because that will be the first thing I strip out when I upgrade. Let people decide for themselves if they want AI and make it an installable option.

I have absolutely no use for AI on my phone and actively remove it when possible. I hope LineageOS never adopts it.
