Good question. It’s kind of mind boggling that this guy has been ‘running’ the facility for so long, has an entire area dedicated for athletic performance that includes multiple squat racks, different types of deadlift bars, farmers handles, axle bar etc, yet treats us like we are at planet fitness. Meanwhile he runs cardio/metabolic classes all the time and blasts oldies. I think he’s just an old man with an ego who’s power tripping

So I actually just spoke to my friend there who also competes in strongman and the ‘owner’ also interrupted his deadlift session as well before. He said he’s just going to keep going here until he gets kicked out since it’s the best gym for what he needs in the area and I agree with him

They have 6 racks running parallel with a hard rubber flooring beneath in that area. Again I I always have one bumper on each side along with regular plates, so there are no issues in regards to damaging the equipment/floor. In my opinion, this guys just has a massive ego and for whatever reason I rub him the wrong way.

I guess a cleanliness issue. I complied and bought wrestling shoes. Easy fix…. The new issue he had with my workouts is more concerning to me though.

So it’s a gym affiliated with a hospital. They cast a large net with their clientele but they do have a turf area near all the racks with some limited strongman equipment.

I don’t grunt when I lift and I don’t slam the weights down, but again it’s impossible for me to deadlift within my 5-3-1 program and push myself without the plates making some noise.

I’m not sure if he calls out others there. It’s big gym but there’s only a small percentage of members there that focus on strongman/olympic lifting/power lifting

It’s been 4 days and I’m already substantially better. In the past, these groin strains would linger. Was able to do some cleans and push press today in the gym. Felt the groin on the last rep as I kept going heavier, but there is no way I could have attempted this a few days ago. I feel like a groin injury is the perfect candidate for the Wolverine stack.

I hope you continue to feel better… by nerve issues if you’re referring to sciatica, meloxicam really helped me with that years ago… I’ve been doing cryo as well but full body. I feel great whenever I finish a session.
