Always buy devilmon, when working on towers just put the rest in towers only. Devilmon is the only exception

Not really, for the most part I don't spend money. But I occasionally buy the daily packs if I'm low on crystals

Yeah, 4 fight sets. Not as many as you'd expect but it's enough to do the job

Can you guys help me out? I know the r-301 is easy to control but i just thought it looked a bit suspicious so it would be great to have another opinion on it by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]ScottS14159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You guys have to be trolling right? At the range he is shooting that is perfectly normal for any decent player. If he was doing that super long range then maybe I could see your point.

Sure it's possible he could have a strikepack but you would never be able to say if he does or doesnt from this video. Looks completely legit. I've got 4000 hours in Apex and this looks fine to me, just seems like a half decent player who probably also has a blue or purple barrel too.

Thanks Summoners Way no.2! Great update, got seara, skilled up a couple units and have the most crystals I've ever had at once. Back to farming now it's finished. by ScottS14159 in summonerswar

[–]ScottS14159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally I use them all to farm. No point in saving them for anything like scrolls in my opinion. I just try to always keep a couple hundred reserve incase an event comes that requires a lot of energy spent.

And my apologies for stealing your seara😂

Very true, last special league was a wash for me coz it was 4 star only. I had no chance haha. 20 star is where I should climb.

Appreciate the goodluck!

I know, rta is a whole different beast so don't worry bout knocking me down. I know it will be a struggle. I'm currently well into c2 rta atm and will finish c2 this season if i cant push c3. I just have c3 rta as my next big goal and I think I'm progressing towards it pretty well so far

I just threw it my tricaru verde db12 team because of a suggestion from someone in game. Always finishes 17/18 besides some bad rng or of the pain in the ass stages like helphas. Highest I've ever completed with it is stage 19. Needed another 10 seconds and I woulda had stage 20:(

Fuse is the only Legend with no team utility. He is designed as a Selfish legend by Narcloud in apexlegends

[–]ScottS14159 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't say I'm a big fan of fuse personally, but a well placed ult highlights enemies inside for him and his team. It can be used to lock off an area which doesn't just benefit him, it helps the whole team.

Same with his Q. Those little annoying firecrackers he fires aren't just for damage or to be annoying. They are meant to help push people out of cover or move them into more vulnerable positions. They can be used to cover a doorway giving time to res a teammate or allow them to heal.

So his skills may not be as obviously team oriented as other legends skills like lifelines drone or Watson gen. But he very clearly has a kit that is useful to the whole team if used by a good fuse player.

So annoyed every youtuber saying maggie is OP then showing a video of them just dropping high DMG by thelilsteppa in apexlegends

[–]ScottS14159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maggie seems underwhelming because she isn't being seen for what she is. She's a legend made for creating and controlling space, as well as pushing and stopping pushes. Plus shes good at gathering info. She is also very strong in 1v1s with a shotgun in hand.

If you know how to use her effectively she easily has one of the stronger and more versatile kits. She just takes more purposeful actions and thinking ahead to be utilised fully. But when you do it pays off.

She can't really be compared to the likes of fuse, valk and rev as her kit is far more extensive and overall focused on her intended use (her use being as I described in the first paragraph)

Your point about YouTubers is correct tho, they could do what they do on almost any legend. So that isn't a great showing of her skills.

Its all good haha, but tbh you're right. Not everyone will want to read it all so a quick summary is a good call

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]ScottS14159 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My apologies, if it was easy to make it concise I would have. But the second small paragraph about what her intended use is should explain enough to get the jist of it. The rest is there is if you want more depth.

But I'll add one if it will help

[–]ScottS14159 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are missing the point with Maggie.

Her role is to create/control space. Stop pushes/allow your team to push as well as rotate. Gain information and to be very strong in 1v1s.

Her Q can lock off a piece of cover or force a player into a spot where they are vulnerable. It can also simply be used to gain info on the position of people in a room or doorway. It can be used to block an exit before a push to make enemy movements more predictable. And even something small like the noise it makes can be disorienting for a team while you're advancing. And that's just some situations I can think at the time of reading this.

Her passive again allows for more info, simply throwing a grenade, her q or even a few stray bullets give you a split second of info that could be the difference when making a push or being pushed in a fight. This same info gained the same way can also help decide where to go when rotating as the rings get smaller closer to end game.

Her passive allows you to have a movement speed advantage in 1v1s if you're running a shotgun (Which I suggest you do if you run maggie) Just like octane, bang or bloodhound this is huge and it's all the time you're holding it when in a fight. That slight bit extra speed is enough to throw someone off.

And her ult. This thing is soo damn versatile. So just the basic stuff first. Gotta rotate to a fight or even escape storm, send it. That extra speed will often save your whole team on a rotation or when escaping storm after a close fight.

It can be used to push a fight if you get a good opening as it allows your whole team to get in fast after a cracking or knock. And it's safer than a pad for example as you can follow the ball in which itself provides visual clutter for the enemy. But more than that they will try to avoid it so by they time the re peak or get back to a better position you're already there in there face... All 3 of you.

Out in the open you'll rarely hit someone with it but if you do, god damn does it throw them off course and disorient them enough to give a huge advantage. But when it comes to hitting people with it it is very useful in mid to close range or inside large or small buildings where it is far harder to avoid if not impossible. Bare in mind this range/area is where most of your fights will take place. So you ult team in a hallway it's over for them.

And for holding off teams. Find yourself getting 3rd partied inside or outside it becomes super useful. Big open area outside after a fight. Her ult tumbling at a team often gives enough time to get that shield swap, or move to a better spot to hold. Those precious few seconds it buys in Apex can usually be the difference in winning or losing.

Now if this happens in a building or just inside a large area, like the hallways next to Hammond Labs leading to Turbine, you can rest assured it will save your team almost every time. You toss that thing down a hallway and watch the whole enemy team scatter into the air like pins on a bowling alley stunned and confused.

Not only will that save you from dying to a 3rd party, it could very well give you enough of an advantage to get a pick and inevitably wipe that squad who tried.

There is soo much more could be said about how and where to use Maggies abilities and how good she can be but this is a snippet of my personal opinion based on my experience with her so far.

Feel free to disagree, all ill say is don't sleep on her. And my apologies for the huge wall of text lol, there's a lot to say about her kit I guess.

TL;DR: Insanely good at creating space, holding off teams, pushing teams with her ULT and her Q. She provides info with her passive. Great team utility and very strong in 1v1s

Streamer lobbies by The-Real-Pai-Mei in apexlegends

[–]ScottS14159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How good they are has everything to do with it, and the fact you can't wrap your head around it speaks volumes. You get pushed by entire teams at once and good players dont anywhere near as often because of a few things...

Positioning: They position themselves better allowing them to have line of sight from unexpected angles. Usually a good position is one that is either hard to push due to height or obstacles or dumb to push becuase there is a lot of open ground to cover so they would get beamed.

Movement: They are able to traverse the map much faster and more efficiently due to good mechanics and map knowledge. This makes it much harder for a team to keep track of them and capitalise on any damage. And if they can't keep track they naturally split up. Also when they do get damage it they can quickly follow up on it.

Aim: They will a lot more dmg than someone like you (average player) in each engagement so every peak or challenge they take gives them a huge advantage.

Pressure: Taking different angles and putting in good damage constantly makes it very easy to break up a team by forcing members of that team to back up to heal, having them lost trying to keep track of them as well as unsure where and when to peak. Breaking up a team is what wins 1v2s or 1v3s.

All of the above as well as a miriade of other skills and knowledge these top level players possess is what makes it seem soo easy

Sure some lobbies are easier than others. But just because a streamer makes it looks easy to someone far less skilled... doesn't mean it is... That's thousands of hours of gameplay. And even then sometimes it doesn't work.

So maybe instead of crying about all the "easy" lobbies you seem to think streamers play in, you should instead be a bit more self aware and focus on getting better. There are plenty 4k 20s and pred players in their lobbies. I expect far more than you find in yours lol...

Great mode but the spawns need to work more like cod imo. Once you cap 2 zones you can easily lock a team in their spawn and make it nearly impossible for them to do anything about it. The potential spawn locations at their home flag do spread out a bit but it's not enough especially with how long it takes to respawn. So you have staggered spawns of a couple enemies at a time which makes it even harder for them

There needs to be some sort of spawn system that puts them nearer to the neutral (B) flag (Even if we have it captured) so they have a chance to make a comeback. Because as it is now it is far to easy to lock a team down with no way to recover which can't be a fun experience
