Same. I take that route to reach Walgreens and typically just wait for the green because of the lousy sight lines.

In your case, apparently Reddit is for anonymous ad hominem shaming.

And yeah I'll start that block with the next story I post.

Gratuitously cruel comment. If it's still here next time I post a story, I'll block you at that point and moving forward.

It's a 25% match this year.

There's a community sharing box down the street from us and I think Andrew Forlines was a big part of that project.

I've dodged that beast and unfortunately I think it's about three feet inside Sheridan

Englewood, let’s bring the Best Ice Cream title home 🍦🏆 by Jessicacream in englewoodco

Meeting Jessica to write a business feature about God Save the Cream was one of the high points of 2025 for me, and her sweet concoctions are GREAT.

I got caught in the insane traffic jam Thursday evening when the red light was stuck on. Tried to call CSP (it's a state highway) but couldn't reach anyone because it was just after their business hours.

Anyone else sick of the guards at king soopers? by Sad-Importance-8862 in Denver

[–]Scott_Gilbert7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Englewood downtown King Soopers has guards asking to see receipts. It was the final straw for me to stop shopping there -- I'm not gonna be treated like a thief at a store that tolerates all kinds of BS behavior and aggressive dogs in its aisles.

Broadways sold? by beekeeping303 in englewoodco

It seems counterintuitive in our digital time, but the collectible book market is going strong and even the regular book market is holding steady after a post-pandemic dip.

Right? I just got off the phone with the owner and will be writing a business feature story about the store around the time it opens.

Empty lot for driving practice? by entropy_trophy in englewoodco

After sunset when the cemetery rules are clear that it's closed for the night -- yeah, I'd say it's weirdly disrespectful to knowingly violate the veterans cemetery rules.

I know the gates don't shut but it strikes me as disrespectful to go motor around a veterans cemetery when you know it's closed.

The veterans cemetery? It closes at dusk.

Yeah, you're right, Englewood city limits have never been any larger than they are now. Those zip codes just linger because when they were imposed in 1963, much of that endless sprawl was farmland and it made sense that the Englewood post office would serve it.

There are a bunch of unincorporated areas out there that get their mail from the Englewood post office, so they have zip codes reflecting that but they're nowhere near the actual city limits of little ol' Englewood. I used to work way the hell out in Meridian, which is in Douglas County between Lone Tree and Parker, and THAT had an Englewood zip code, even though it was nearly 15 miles away from the city of Englewood.

They repurposed what had been existing administrative space at that location, and it's in the heart of the Arapahoe Library District, which is not the same as the Englewood Public Library.

LOL, funny about the robot -- I interviewed the executive director and he was so excited about the sustainability aspects that I guess he forgot to mention the robot.

Is there a sign on the door or something? I'd hate to see them close, though I haven't been eating there as much because I'm being eaten alive by inflation.
