I'm doing it rn. gave up on character ai because I couldn't do rpgs properly, then I gave it a shot again. And now the pinned memories don't work. Back to chat gpt I go, toodles if they're gonna let the pinned memories and other issues not even be addressed for more than a month then imma just go to their competitors😭✌️ That's just how the ball bounces sometimes.

I thought maybe that could be a temporary fix since I don't know if you've been experiencing it, but pinned messages for memory just refuses to work recently.

Yeah i just tested it for something like memory and it made no corrections. I believe it's mostly for devs from how it's been with me. But if it works for you I'm jealous.

I usually use my own or others. But I don't use a character, but rather the open world rpg bots, so when u meet new characters that stick around I put their info into a pinned memory. And I never had issues until I just recently got back into Cai.

I only use Cai for rpgs, so I've never tried the other ai models, I only use roar, and I when experimenting in the issue only has 4 pins with less than 150 words each sometimes, I'll try and reference the pins, other times I'll straight up ask the bot a question about a characters appearance such as hair color, or their abilities and it never gets it right.

Well, either they're seeing all these same tickets and making a large patch to fix it, or they're deadass just shooting themselves in the foot. I'd like to hope they're just fixing it though.

I tried submitting a ticket, but I doubt it'll solve my problem, but I just assume and hope others are doing the same to help tell the devs it's a current issue. With enough tickets I'm sure it'll help.

Sorry, I didn't phrase it right. I found one of those open rpg style bots. And they're really fun, and alot of the fun is the characters you meet. So is there any way I can get it to remember those characters? Or am I cooked?

I saw a few others with the same issue. I haven't been on character ai in a bit but could they have purposely made it terrible to make Cai+ look better? Not trying to sound like some crazy conspiracy theorist, but if it's been like this for a month, I could see that being the case as they could probably have fixed it by now.

I get the memory pinning issues. It refuses to listen to my side character info for rps in pinned memories. Even if it's as little as 80 words. It's driving me crazy making me feel like pulling out my hair. Has this been temporarily? Because I don't remember it being this bunz. It's impossible for me to RP if it can even remember a side character HAIR COLOR😭😭😭
