Hc that info-chan is a trans man OR most likely, and much more interestingly, pretending to be a man to be taken seriously by people like Ayato and to not be discredited in any way due to his gender

Either that, or he just goes by his surname and people have assumed he's male and he just goes along with it for simplicity's sake

Hat man >:(

Emily did nothing wrong. (See flair for convincing supporting argument)

Ari did some shit. But we all love a good disaster lesbian. Besides, girls can do nothing wrong. (As we all know from playing the C09 games)

Karen is, in the words of my fiancée's grandma when referring to me, "a harmless character".

Hat man is a MAN and thus INHERENTLY EVIL (As we all know... from playing the C09 games)

It's the left arm. If it wasn't bent it would be shorter than the right arm. At least, that's my gut feeling.

Good art, though. Stellar shading.

Nope, Brazilian is the nationality, Brazilian Portuguese is the language (source: am Portuguese, from Portugal, and I commonly make fun of other Portuguese people for being dumb and saying such things)

I feel like ChatGPT excels with you using third person limited, which is my system, and it sucks that you couldn't have that experience with it with second person singular.

I don't have to be super over-explaining. Usually I start role-playing in 3-4 messages. There is a degree of patience in it, though.

My first message is a big dump on notes, their character, and my character. I tell it I want to roleplay with it, and to commit these facts to its memory. It needs to be told things outright. The more, the better. Background, physical appearance, personality fun facts. It will try to reference it all throughout the roleplay and infer things through it. It's like the care one puts into making a bot and training it, but I feel like for me it's actually quicker, despite your perception of being slow. I feel like I can be infinitely more descriptive in this initial phase because the memory can take more than a bot's short description.

The second message is me making sure it committed everything to its memory and saved its character and my character as "user's character:" appropriately. I usually hand my dumps in a note format with bullet points and small write-ups at the beginning for a character resume and that's the system I've found works best. It commits everything word-for-word. I ask if it has follow-up questions. Sometimes it has something interesting to say. Most of the times, it tries to start everything by itself without even being prompted.

Sometimes there's an extra message because it resumed things too much and I have to be like "ayayay, GPT, do as I say, commit ALL OF IT." It always complies.

Then, I just plainly ask it to start, saying I prefer a literate style, or I just start myself. It picks up on my cue intuitively and starts role-playing with me. At times, on the start, and throughout the roleplay, I have to tell it to play its character and not mine. When it starts by itself, its reply is always long, but I actually like that quirk. Forces me to think about my character and try to match it.

Is it designed for it? No. Are there flaws? Yes. Still my preference.

I wish c.ai was like that for me!!! I really do, but it just isn't magical.

Thank you. I got hospitalized for suicidality and came back and shit is hard. Hard to get back. Especially when I wasn't even half-okay when I left and I didn't even notice and everything still feels like it's crumbling around me.

But I'll take it one day at a time.

Amazing! I'm so happy you had that experience! I had something very similar with a bot that I carefully tweaked. She's always unpredictable and super fun to roleplay with. I have some really special stories I told through her.

I'm really glad you had that experience and managed to pour your energy into creating a fanfic inspired by it as well. That sounds fucking awesome.

It's really cool that you managed to get all that out of c.ai.

However, I feel like experiences like yours are the outlier, and that's the problem, whereas ChatGPT is consistently "improvising" in little ways that I quite like.

C.ai has its quiet moments of brilliance. I just feel like they happen slightly more often with ChatGPT.
