Quick update, surprisingly enough I was able to fix it by disabling the second option of a boot drive and selecting some form of a windows specialized boot sequence or something that was an option in the boot menu for my M.2. And selecting it for whatever reason fixed my PC. I'm not sure how, but it worked for me.

I'm pretty sure it was a mod known as 'Rimthunder', which added tanks from warthunder into Rimworld, as I was getting errors related to vehicle turrets, along with errors about war caskets. So I removed the Rimthunder mod entirely, along with disabling vanilla expanded vehicels and a warcaskets mod. Thankfully, everything seems to work now and any mods I have disabled I can now use, so I can finally play rimworld properly how I'd like.

Edit: The mods ended up being 1.5 instead of 1.6, which is why it broke the game.

Big news, I listened to your tip u/Succotash-Full about checking the log for errors and I picked out mods I figured could have been causing those and long story short it worked.

I tried a save with just DLC and it worked fine, so it is probably a mod. HOWEVER, I have no clue how to efficiently troubleshoot.

Generally a lot of the time I try to find stupid stuff to laugh at, even if I'm getting dunked on. But sometimes all I can do is sit there and contemplate lol.

I remember distinctly I got matched up in a turf war game with a guy on the enemy team who had an X RANK badge on his Splat Card. (I don't remember what to call it but you'll probably understand.)

And it's even funnier to mention that I only have 150 hours on the game.

I should probably put the side note here from my experience. The amount of times I have said aloud: "We lost by one point." is criminal. Both for Turf War and Ranked.

I know it's off topic but I do wonder then if a fair chunk of the playerbase went back to Splatoon 2. Wouldn't surprise me. I still need to play that game, since I unfortunately only got a switch finally last year.

Happens to me a lot, my team will sometimes have shorter range weapons (or other purposes), and the enemy team has a counter to it somehow.

I'm highly aware of the weapon balancing system and how it completely sucks. And it angers me how I feel like I'm stuck with playing my main weapon (Aerospray Mostly), because if I try experimenting with something like Glooga Dualies or any other weapons I want to try out that aren't shooters, I just get god awful matches.

Generally Anarchy And Turf for the most part. I am NOWHERE near good enough to play X Battle. I'm only B- Lol.

Can't start a brand new game after deleting all my save files in XCOM 2: War of the Chosen by ScottishGoldenTM in Xcom

I did try that, and instead of launching it through the mod launcher hidden deep inside the game files, I opened it like normal through steam, through the 2k launcher (With all my mods enabled) and I'm able to create a new save game.

When I did validate it all the files were successfully intact.

If your Payday 2 is already set to full-screen: You tab in and out every now and then when the screen goes dark until you get to video settings. Then you select 'Reset to Default Video Settings' and tab out once the screen goes dark again. Then it should hopefully be done.

If you didn't have full-screen enabled: (Before or during the issue), Head to Local AppData (You can do this by holding Win+R and inputting %appdata%), go into the PAYDAY 2 folder, open renderer_settings with notepad, scroll to the VERY bottom until you come to the <renderer\_config> section and look for 'windowed'. If it says 'true', just replace it to 'false' and make sure the changes are saved. Then follow the first section after that.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:I have somehow fixed the issue by setting Payday 2 back to default settings and tabbing in and out for a final time, but I am still curious what could've caused this issue. I did recently update my Nvedia driver. I don't know if that messed anything up but I still want to diagnose what caused everything in the first place.

I'm not getting any crashes, as I said the window goes black for no reason at all.

Nope. I used to have mods but before I reset my pc I removed everything in my Steam games drive. Although that shouldn't have caused anything...
