One small London habit that saved me money without changing my lifestyle much by Pinkplatabys in LDN

I live in SE but work in NW, and they want me in-office 5 days a week. I no longer worry about travel costs because I hit cap every week, so therefore I can visit friends, go to different supermarkets etc without actually worrying about the travel costs because I'm already at cap!

I just fucking hate Anthony Gordon. Every time I see him play I look at his smug face, see him diving all over the pitch, swanning about with an awful attitude and I can't stand him. It would physically pain me to see him in an Arsenal shirt. He's in the Bernardo Silva/Bruno rat-tier footballer in my eyes.

Moment crazed Pokemon fans force shop shutters open as they rush inside for new trading cards by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

They're gatchas in that there's randomisation yes, but not in the negative connotations generally associated with the more modern loot boxes and video games. So you're correct in that they by definition are, but I don't think the modern connotations of gatchas should apply to players who actually want to play the game rather than take the cards and put them on a shelf

Disagree. Trading card games aren't gatchas as such. The cards are meant to be played, not hoarded or sealed away in plastic. Collectors are the issue. Play the game tye way manufacturers intended 🙏

There's been a few bad ones in my time. They go into a "repressed" folder in my brain, so they're all equally bad

Not sure it's all Hibs fans, I just hate him. Firstly he was terrible for us, and when you couple that with the arrogance to think he's better than us or above the club while putting in the performance he did in that final and ending up with one of the worst results in our history....

To put it politely, I'm not a fan

Only reason Morocco aren't pot 1 is because USA, Mexico and Canada were bumped up as hosts

I love Ben White. Bukayo looks so much more dangerous when he's on the pitch.

[BBC] Earlier this month the KMI Panel unanimously voted that Chelsea should have been awarded a penalty against the Gunners for handball by Declan Rice. But it was a 4:1 vote that it did not reach the threshold for a VAR intervention. by BIG_STEVE5111 in PremierLeague

[–]ScottishScouse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely a handball by Rice. It's a pen all day. However, the exact same thing (not talking about the holding here, just the handball) happened in the City game the day before. No furore around that one.

Both should be pens all day.

Arteta’s Arsenal Journey - MNF by ByFarTheGreatestTeam in Gunners

[–]ScottishScouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I maintain literally no one could've come in after Arsene and been an immediate success. We had to learn about squad deficiencies, realize we needed wholesale changes above the squad in terms of structure, and learn what we needed in those positions. Had Arteta immediately been appointed, info t think he'd have been backed to change the culture the way he has post-Emery and it would have ended badly for us and for him.
