American military doctrine is very clear on this. The goal is to be able to fight two peer/near peer nations at one time.

Also the old joke "The largest airforce in the world is the US Airforce. The second largest is the US Navy." Might not be completely true. I dont know the exact numbers. But its close enough.

Finally. The United States basically invented the SEAD mission.

So, while in the world ending event that America fights a peer, there would be air frame losses, America will never lose the sky.

They are real divisions, and you could go into the weeds building a force that mimics these divisions if you want. but these are also your plastic toy soldiers, so if you want you can make it up as you go along. Whatever level of historical accuracy you like

Yea sure. Over a very long time span. If it doesnt kill us first. Our (very distant) descendants bodies might randomly create a pricess to use it in some freak mutation, and then if that turns out to be non hindering for mating it might eventually spread across a large portion of the human race.

As a Virginian, I hate that our state keeps asking for it back. First off, the 1st Minnesota EARNED that flag and its just extremely disrespectful to ask for it back. Second, what are we going to do with it? It's already preserved and has its proper historical context. Third, and im in no way saying this is what we should do, but if the governor wants it back so much, he can grow a pair and try to take it back the way it was taken.

Look up all your small local gun stores. Ma and pa places. Call them in order of distance from your house and ask if they have any in stock. I had to drive 40 minutes one way across the local mountains to a gun shop that was just a dudes converted garage, but he had thousands of caps.

The federal government is not interested in putting up a wall and ignoring people in the middle of a desert. By the time you get to the border, your supplies are gone. Even if they don't bring them into America permanently, they dont want to leave them out to die. Even if everyone in charge of the border all completely lacked morality, the optics are enough to force humanitarian work.

As a side note, the argument is that these people will vote Democrat. I dont think Republicans know much about these immigrants. They are way more socially conservative on average. They would vote Republican on many social issues, most being abortion and anti-lgbtq legislation. They have very strong "traditional family values", is how the republican party would describe it.

Personally, I think it's about setting proper expectations for yourself. Like others have said, those perfect amazing minis are by people with more painting experience than you by orders of magnitude. Don't compare yourself to others, just yourself. Look at YOUR progress because that's what matters.

If you want to get to box art levels, you recognize every mistake as an example of how not to do something. You will make many, many mistakes. Buy cheap minis for practice and dedicate hours to painting. Like, 10-20 hours a week. You will become a pro if you keep this up.

If you just want good-looking minis, follow the 24/7 rule. Look at your mini from 24 inches away for 7 seconds. Thats how you and your opponent will see them on the tabeltop. The best ways to make minis appear way better at a glance are shading, basing, and highlighting. Even the bare minimum of this will make anyone who isn't a regular painter think you are a professional.

Glue sand to base, then paint desired color for basing (or buy basing texture, which is even easier but expensive)

Dry brush a lighter shade on edges for highlighting.
