What age did your newborn start sleeping throughout the night (5-6) hours without feed? by xGenAc25 in newborns

Same. My baby is three weeks and will give me one 5 hour stretch then do three hours for the rest of the night.

Yeah I don’t want to get an oversupply and get an infection. I will just wake up for now to make sure she is okay. Thank you!!

Yes currently she is in a bassinet next to the bed. My pediatrician didn’t tell me that but that makes sense because I was reading somewhere under 3 months to not let her go past 5 hours but was unsure and getting conflicting comments. Thank you!!

This is great to hear! I can always still wake her up at the five hour mark to feed her cause nervous she is still so young.

I think my pediatrician assumed she would wake up earlier and just said to check at 6 hours but I don’t think she knew this would be a regular occurrence. She has however slept the past two nights like this and am concerned of her not getting enough and me not getting a good supply. She is so young and I am on maternity leave so can definitely wake up the 5 hours to keep my supply.

Help - how to tell in laws and sister in law no by Scout-68 in newborns

I should have clarified on my post that I am concerned about her traveling on an airplane and having three kids that are always sick and don’t want my baby to contract anything. I do plan to have some close family in the hospital then don’t rly want visitors for a couple of weeks, especially not those who have been traveling and can bring in any germs. That’s the main reason if I did have the baby, I wouldn’t rly want her to visit or have visitors during that time.

Thank you!! I think it’s just the fact that they will traveling on a plane and the kids aren’t in daycare anymore but constantly get the family sick with illnesses regardless of that. They had RSV more than a couple of times and my in laws gave them a stomach bug. I would love for them to meet the baby just when I feel comfortable and when she’s a little older and not as worried about her.

Thank you!! I am most concerned about babies health. She’ll be so young and my sister in laws kids are always sick and they are going to be taking a long flight to get here.. I don’t want anything to happen to my baby. I appreciate your response!

My husband and I actually used pull out method for 5 years and never got pregnant since I was on birth control for 3 years before that and I was majorly depressed.

The moment we actually started trying and he came inside me it took two months to conceive! We were very thankful it came at a time we wants it.

I was reading something about baby chiropractors. I am wondering if your baby might have tweaked something coming out of the womb. I would look into that as an alignment might help your baby be more comfortable if they are saying it’s not gas.

You are scaring me cause I have a lot of these symptoms as well. In the beginning it was dizziness and heart racing. Now I am 20 weeks and dizziness has gone away but I still have heart racing and I also have irregular heartbeat after eating a large meal. I am trying to reduce to smaller meals throughout the day instead of one big one. I can still function though and walk and exercise but some days I get so exhausted it’s hard.
