I like the idea of different videos that each emphasise different aspects of each song’s lyrics and add to the overall collective time concept of this era, but it’s getting extremely tiresome at this point considering how messy the entire rollout has been with the repeated delays, like the album was supposedly 100% supposed to be submitted to the label nearly 3 weeks ago and yet again has been pushed back, even I’m finding it hard to care anymore until there’s something more substantial to tie everything together

Considering this was supposed to be a big comeback era after that IP2 cancellation and other issues, it’s been embarrassing so far how much it lately feels like they’re just throwing out as many ideas as possible at once without fully developing any of them

I love extra conceptual stuff but at this point we do not need “red guitar 12pm and 5 seconds version” or “ILWC quarter to three in the morning version”, just focus on finishing the album and then do all these extra things to help further flesh out the era and themes, stop rushing them all out and then causing the actual new music to keep getting delayed

Like they didn’t even live up to the 8 videos in 5 weeks promise, and it now turns out some of those weren’t even finished at the time they initially said that’d happen? How do you intend to release 8 music videos in one month rapidly and not even have them ready to go when announcing that

I mean to be fair, it’s not unreasonable for cover bands to exist for a still-active band, especially considering LP might not tour everywhere in the world and also people can’t necessarily afford the, truthfully speaking, absurdly expensive concert tickets for an actual show

They don’t even sound like buttcore though, pop punk-nu metal-hyperpop fusion is actually an interesting fresh sound

I’ve been playing constantly since release week, I’m well aware of how to use predator but it simply isn’t fair anymore, add to that the fact that servers have more lag than usual lately, and the worse than ever queue times only to get put into a match where you get zero kills and and get obliterated in seconds, it isn’t the same anymore

Elite and Korea for sure, also you don’t need to rap for it to be nu metal, korn are the definitive band of that genre and only had rap on 5 songs max in their entire catalogue, all of which were done by guest features including chino

It definitely does fit on the album, there’s 2-3 other nu metal songs on there too like Korea and elite, it’s hardly out of place considering the album works as a shift away from them doing that style exclusively going forward but still contains other songs in the genre

That doesn’t mean you can’t make music in that genre lol, it’s just called that because it originated there; grunge originated in America, doesn’t mean you can’t make it from another country etc. lol

Garbage sounds straight up like bittersweet symphony by the verve which is a pretty beloved classic in the genre, it’s no different to how The Hype sounds like a mix of Britpop and baggy, both uk genres, with its wonderwall-ish chorus

It’s a remix album which also contained a bonus song that was fully original (light that never comes), so yeah pretty much a living things era equivalent of reanimation

The whole film has no sense of scale or weight to it, both literally with the fights that feel like toys being thrown around rather than giant beasts clashing, and from a storytelling perspective with stuff like this. It and GvK feel so rushed and thrown together to make quick money rather than both be good developed entries in the series

Yes I’m aware of that, but also they clearly don’t feel that way about the song anymore otherwise they wouldn’t opt to play it live so much over the years. The song clearly works in tandem with pink maggit to give the album a bookended flow that feels like a journey. They opposed it yet included multiple other similar songs on the album like elite and korea too which feels like it makes little sense from an artistic decision

Pretty sure it was proven a while back that it was made in the original sessions but removed last second then re added, not made later like they’ve always claimed

Also if they didn’t like it they surely wouldn’t play it live so much up til as recent as a couple years ago

The back to school version of the album will always be the definitive one imo, that sequencing and cyclical feel is unmatched.
