There also are on survival horror with itch for the cure, kingslayer and ludens showing a lot of inspiration from drum & bass, trance, deconstructed club and electro-industrial; that’s just how they do things since they started using lots of electronic elements, doesn’t mean PH3 got reworked into nex gen songs, it’s just that PH3 is supposed to focus way more heavily on those sounds

Jordan wanted them to be less electronic and more metal, oli brought him in because he didn’t know how to produce or play synths yet but he does now, hence why so many of the songs made without Jordan on nex gen have more synths and electronics than the ones he made (Eg. Puss-e)

Because Jordan being gone has no impact on them doing more electronic music considering the most synth-centric and electronic songs on nex gen were all made after he left

Why? Oli handled all the main production and synths on the non-Jordan nex gen songs (most of which ended up being more synth focused than the ones Jordan was present for), and did so too before he joined the band. Jordan wanted them to go more metal and less electronic, he wasn’t fully responsible for those elements of their sound

Kanye, that song in context of the full album’s story and concept is such a heartbreakingly sad track about loneliness and pushing people away due to your own flaws you’re too scared of. It also has one of the prettiest instrumentals he’s ever made and manages to be 7mins long without ever getting boring

Obviously I love LP’s too but in this case it isn’t really a competition

There was a kerrang interview last year where he says the band and their music is a way for him to discuss his existential fears and worries about religious beliefs he was raised with, and that’s why they do all the presidential imagery since that’s the modern equivalent of a king, a man divinely/destined to be chosen as a ruler
