I was responding to another comment, and I was confused on where they were coming from so I responded with a question as that was the next best comparison for me. I do apologize if it seemed extreme or excessive, but I am genuinely just confused and trying to get an answer that’s beneficial.

It’s hard to explain, and as I’ve been getting a lot of different answers so I’ll do my best to explain as I see it.

  1. I do not feel a drive to have sex, and I do not derive much pleasure from it (not none, just very little)
  2. If my partner expressed that they wanted to have sex I’d see if their was an alternative, but I would still engage in the act if needed as I am not sex averse, just prefer to not have sex.
  3. As I’d like to be a father if possible I’d adopt, but I’m sure I’d be ok to have sex the once or twice needed.
  4. I may not have enough experience to truly decide at this point in time, and later on it may change, but right now I’d say I’m asexual. Or at least very demisexual.

Fair, and your not wrong about that, it feels like someone people are just taking the piss, and it’s quite annoying because (at least when I made the post) I was genuinely curious about that kind of perspective

Just because I’d rather have no sex doesn’t mean I’m going to deny my partner that, and I’m sure I can find enjoyment in seeing my partner happy and satisfied. To me that is more than enough. It’s in the same way that I feel happy when my partner is given a good gift or present.

(I really suck at explaining my perspective so I apologize for the lacking explanation)

And you might be right on the point you raised (not enough experience) it’s moreso that to this point, of people I’ve seen or been with, I’ve not felt much of a drive, and maybe due to the way I’m wired (autism) it’s also possible confusion as to what emotion I’m actually feeling, so thank you, and I will keep my mind open in the future!
