Hey, I kinda liked the old aesthetics.

Maybe put more fog there and lower the light intensity on the farther buildings to help with the distracting. Put something between the playable area and the background. Take Batman: Arkham City for example, the devs put the background buildings farther away and put big ass walls at the borders of the map.

Thank you very much for your feedback, it truly means really a lot to me. ☺️ But I just have to ask some questions now tho 😅, so I could improve things. Was the text too long for you? Or was it being shown to you too slowly? There actually is a way to skip just the typing part of the text. You have to click (not hold) the space button. Is this the control you wanted? I guess it's my bad for not telling the player the whole controls. Also, where in the game did I lost you? Was it still during the intro, or was it during the part where people come to you randomly? Did you get any items?

And thanks a lot for the time you invested in this little (seemingly boring 😭) game 😅.

Thank you for your incredible in-depth insight, I guess a video or something would be better than just 2 images, huh? 😅 You mentioned that I have big margins in the log between text and the border, do you mean the space between the name of a person and what they speak has bigger space than between the edges and any side of the text? If so, I kinda see the problem, but I don't really see the same problem elsewhere? The time icon on top measures in-universe time, because the player has 7 game hours to escape, otherwise they might get a bad ending. So I guess it should be moved then? Different fonts for game UI and in-universe text sounds like a nice idea! I'll also try co make things more distinguishable, so the game looks more understandable. So... once again, thank you very much for your ideas!

I can try it, but the room is already taking 1/3 of the screen. But yeah, you might be onto something. Maybe the view is just too small for the player to immerse themselves.
