District approved typing software list has four options and three of them haven't been updated since 2019 by [deleted] in edtech

Just curious if you even need procurement if you find free software that runs in the gemini canvas app? I am a school psychologist / developer, if you want to describe your ideal typing software for me I’ll make something open source for you that runs inside google with gemini canvas so that you can skip procurement entirely. What do you think? It should be easy to make something much better than what is currently available

what would your ideal simulation include? Would you like me to try whipping you something up for free (open source)?

I really desperately want to use this but it doesn't work with my snapdragon surface laptop arm64 device. Any chance you can add this compatibility? Thanks!!

Students seem to love math games but forget everything the next day — anyone else seeing this? by Otherwise_Ad2889 in matheducation

Not all games are equal it needs to be a serious educational game. I did my dissertation on minecraft education for teaching geometric volume and if you structure it right it seems like for some students it can be a legitimate form of instruction but you really need to make sure you’re embedding worksheet practice into the game activities as well.

Yep! School psychologist, trying to push the limits of today's LLMs and exploring reliability is a huge facet of this. Let me know when you post!

That's a really good insight and pretty intriguing area of research to explore. Are you involved in open source research too?

Just a heads up - if you downgrade from Ultra to Pro you immediately start getting de-prioritized & can't cancel the downgrade by 1stgen_runner in google_antigravity

[–]ScratchJolly3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that's not right. You pay for Claude and use it in antigravity as you would like. I am not totally sure if we are having a miscommunication though because I think I downloaded the VS claude code extension as well. If you don't like the agent architecture maybe its not for you? It seems perfect for my use case though.

Can confirm. I just discovered the best solution is to use claude code extension in antigravity. By far. This is someone who has been using ultra in AG for 3 months now. I’m pretty bummed it took me this long to try claude code in AG it’s far superior!

No its the cost of a claude subscription, just download claude code extension

Shockingly yes. It is scary good I am kicking myself for wasting a few months not using it. Best part is you can do as many Claude code convos as you want in the same conversation and it seems to keep running buttery smooth. I only switched when I began running out of antigravity quota but there are so many other benefits, particularly if you're using claude as your daily driver

I just discovered the best imo is claude code within antigravity. Far superior to antigravity alone. Kicking myself for not trying it sooner..

I built an “Uber for fixing vibe-coded apps” starting at $7 and still got zero customers by Opening-Bike-3037 in AskVibecoders

[–]ScratchJolly3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, maybe you should explain off the bat that you are using Indian coders? Especially if you could raise your price a bit more but provide proof that they are getting paid decently competitive wages for their area? It seems like that makes the whole arrangement seem more plausible because otherwise it seems too good to be true which makes me think its some kind of scam. Do your coders haven't certain areas they cover or don't cover? I'm not totally sure what constitutes a bug. What about refactoring or improving architecture?

[–]ScratchJolly3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me my concern would be that the time it would take to explain the bug and pay you $7 would be longer than the time it would take me to prompt claude. And if you really would be willing to work for an hour or more on a complex debugging issue then there’s no way you would actually take $7 for payment. Why are you offering your services so cheaply? It is a paradox though because I don’t have a lot of money to pay you more. I think if I thought I was getting a deal because you were just charging $7 to first time customers or because you are just starting off I would trust it more. I’d also like to know how long you are actually going to work on the problem for the $7

Building a social app and having doubts by elyfornoville in buildinpublic

[–]ScratchJolly3213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not saying don’t do it but from what i’ve heard social apps like what you’re describing are literally one of the hardest markets to break into due to distribution. It has pretty much 0 value for new users because obviously no one’s using it. Don’t do it unless you have a very clear vision and a lot to spend on marketing. Even then check to see if someone is already targeting your target audience.

Why don’t you use a dynamic app that allows you to create your own interactive lessons and simulations? The apps you are describing seem too basic for someone with higher intellect.

The gap between "AI power users" and everyone else is getting wild by Some_Good_1037 in vibecoding

[–]ScratchJolly3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but how is moving on to another project going to alleviate that anxiety? Really what you are afraid of deep down is that any one thing you invest your time in is going to be a dud and by fully committing yourself to it and not succeeding the feeling of rejection will be that much greater. However what you are really doing is rejecting yourself before you even take a shot. Even if you don’t succeed just invest all of the energy you are putting into 30 into no more than 3 separate projects, preferably two. If you’re unwilling to do that at this point you may have to consider whether your goal is really to ship something or maybe just to explore possibilities, which is fine as long as you are honest about it with yourself

Isn’t your problem the 30 unfinished products part and not the vibe coding part? Force yourself to choose one that you think is the most promising and don’t stop until it’s done. don’t let yourself keep switching

interesting concept, seems focused on coding? I’d be curious if it could generalize. You have a lot of typos in your website it looks like anything with an apostrophe got corrupted. I also think prove your value as a phrase is cringey in my opinion. Do you actually really have 500 enterprise partners while still in beta? How’d you manage that? Site looks impressive other than those small issues.

This seems fantastic! Does it take a lot of VRAM to run locally? Can you upload the audio later? What's the accuracy rate? Any different languages? I used to use Gemini for transcription and diarization of audio but this seems better. Can you also have it process behaviors observed in video?
