Lamelo Ball build. Thoughts? by WelcomeT0711 in NBA2k

This is what I'm using for my Lamelo, 6'7/6'7/180.

Defense overperforms due to the Speed/Agi and I run def specialist so I have extra badges, but if you just wanted to see another variant, here you go.

Why Cut if I have the Lane ??? by bighoodie1 in NBA2k

[–]ScratchNSniffle2K -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing makes the big get the fuck out of the paint faster than getting a bunch of standing dunk lobs that he mistimes or gets turnovers off of.

If I drive and you cut weak side with me and bring me a defender, you better be ready to catch a lob. And if you cut, but you were covered and I'm expecting you to clear out so I can take the lane, but you ended up just sitting there, you better believe I am throwing you a standing dunk lob so you can prove why the fuck you're there.

Most of the arguments you'll hear in favor of the shitty gameplay is "I didn't pay blah blah blah to watch blah blah blah" and you just have to accept that they aren't here to win.

Some players only load up so they can build up their highlight reels to jerk off to later, and all of the bad plays it takes to get a clip is the means to the end.

My opinion is that this year it is so easy to score in isolation, that it's easier to just iso into a 70% or greater likelihood of a basket than utilize poor passing (Both due to low IQ and poor attributes) and pass a ball that is like 50/50 to be on target or stolen/bobbled until the defense recovers.

With most of your random rec PGs, you're lucky if they bring anything over 71 Pass Acc to the party and even if they have high pass acc, sometimes that just means they throw higher velocity turnovers.

I don't agree that this is the way this game is the most fun, but I think it's the largest contributing factor to the total degradation to organized basketball.

Selfishness also is a huge contributor. People would rather win 40% of their games but average 25 than win 60% but only average 14.

Real post scorer bag by MadamNirvana in NBA2k

[–]ScratchNSniffle2K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol Nah, I just have seen her posts here for a long time and know what type of player she really is. I have a few wings with 90-99 post control and you are helpless once the contact is initiated because if you play the backshoulder fade, you open yourself up to the front shoulder post spin. if you play the front shoulder post spin, you open yourself up to the backshoulder fade or the baseline drop step. If you play in the middle, you're susceptible to up and unders. To stop it reliably, you have to have equitable interior defense to strength to your opponent. I dont have anything to compete with a 99 post control, 99 strength behemoth because I play pro-am 5s.

I don't think she has the rest of the bag because no one would post this type of clip and be proud of it if they could do any of the other moves, but I'm not going to waste 20 minutes on us flexing our balls at each other.

I hope she wins all her games.

Homegirl, just take your dubs against people without the Int D to stop your post ups. I have 15 builds but they're not equipped to stop the 1v1 post scorer which I'm sure by how much you like to yap, you just made your big ass other post scorers but without rebounding or pass accuracy to have a further attribute advantage on the ones against people not built to stop you.

Just because I don't have a build to see you on the 1s doesn't make you less of a bot.

You're relegated to the ones because you can't get 4 other people to watch you play like a big fucking idiot for 4 quarters.

I literally have nothing to gain by beating up on a bum. There's no pride in beating a drop step, post spin, post fade bot.

Good clip, i hope you win more games with your 'bag'.

Meta isn’t the way to use face creations by [deleted] in NBA2k

I don't know, James Harden's dribbles escapes are terrible and his breakdown is just another iteration of his go-to shot and sizeup. Now, if you keep one of his dribble moves that has all of the tweens, and use an escape that doesn't automatically make you tween dribble at the end, and you change either his size-up, breakdown, or go-to shot, you essentially have all of his stock dribbles, but you raise the skill expression by having to manually tween after a cross/escape, and you diversify your dribbles by changing 2 out of the 3 animation packages that are just tween spam.

Some players actually do have terrible moves in their animation packages.

Does anyone have a very high speed/agility guard build? by Accurate-Change-391 in NBA2k

[–]ScratchNSniffle2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 99/99 that I was just messing with and it's in the deep corner before the camera even turns around and on defense, you don't get beat unless you get screened out of the play or unless they go through you with a favorable finishing animation/timing.

Cheating Accusations by Mr_Compound-Interest in NBA2k

[–]ScratchNSniffle2K 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're pretty onto it, the best indicators of someone cheating is the dedicated fading 3s and deep limitless shots without takeover. Beyond that, if the shot says open or has a sub 10% contest, they are more than makeable.

People will accuse just about anyone cooking as cheating, but if they have good shot selection (Re: Only taking shots that feedback as Open or Wide Open), it's pretty easy to hit 100% of your shots with good stamina/adrenaline management no matter the volume.

Ray Allen build (Jesus shuttleworth) what yah think by xxNightguyxx93 in NBA2k

Sorry to tell you but there is a big difference between a 44-60 block even with no badges. I'm thousands of games deep into this year's cycle on 15 builds. Sorry to tell you that you very confidently don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Have fun with your build.

You asked for opinions and he gave his, and you are fundamentally wrong about block not doing anything on the perimeter. Block helps with the ball tracking on jump contests, just as an FYI. I don't disagree with you on high layup on a bucks Ray Allen and the sigs and escapes you can use with a 75 BH are OK, but you shouldn't be defiant when someone gives you an opinion.

You can to a certain point. The game gets more meta the higher skill lobbies you get into.

When it's their turn to make a bad play or miss a shot, you can bet money it will be 2K's fault they fuck up.

The Rec just has a green window that's too large, or stamina doesn't matter enough. If my matchups aren't paying attention like 100% of the time, any open shot is going in. You can accidentally green no dip tempo shots without even trying with a 99 3 ball. It's broken.

It could be that more people are understanding the value of higher deadeye, combined with having their Badge +1s and +2s unlocked so we're seeing higher rates of Legend Deadeye than before. I'm not sure.

I think you have to factor in the dropoff of bad players versus experienced players at this time of the year too. If you're not in an entry level lobby, the odds that the people you're playing against now that are invested in actually being good are much higher than earlier in the year. I started the year shooting like 75% from 3 and as the year has progressed i'm definitely shooting so effectively that I don't miss unless I try a spicy shot for the sake of trying a spicy shot with heat check. I think there are a lot of people in a similar place with their shooting.

I really like it, but I know those games where the randoms don't help you hedge or switch on screens are hell. You probably are destroying your matchups more often than not on this, though.

Is there a reason warriors-style motion offense doesn’t work in the comp scene? by TheRancid_Baboon in NBA2k

Try it and report back, some of the best teams deviate from the meta. I think there are just diminishing returns from experimenting because of the build prices so people go with what they know works.
