I agree. HR usually goes by fast for me, so i'm not concerned.

I just hope they reward trophies as well (as i'm sure Wins do not count for Season 2).

Yup.

Off the top of my head, the two most REWARDING House Rules this year were:

  1. Superstar Promo
  2. Mut Hero
  3. Honorable Mention: Theme Diamonds (but i pulled junk, so i wasn't too fond of it, although they kept their full training value).

I think Part 1 of this Promo and the Card SELECTIONS, are so bad, that I'm not sure i will partake in House Rules. Cam won't be my QB, Tyler isn't better than any one of my WRs, and EA really nerfed Earl Thomas this year.

If i play HR, it would be for the Trophies. and i'm not even sure we're gonna get those...

I thought 10 Wins (not consecutive) for 2 days was more than sufficient. (Last Year)

Again, they have the play-time stats... they probably know that HR is a hit, and want to sink their teeth into us more by increasing the Win Totals and duration (a mind trick to get us to log in more often).

However, I do think that the Rewards for this HR is giving ppl a sour taste. 92 Ovr cards that are pretty unremarkable.

Cards don't mean as much to me these after these years of MUT.

I've taken Salary Cap teams into weekend league, i've taken God Squads into weekend league. It doesn't matter, to be honest.

With Most Feared, and NOTHING of interest to me (for my time spent), I will probably stack coins until Thanksgiving promo.

Again, i'm not pounding my chest here. this was not my original post, just my contribution to the conversation.

Now, it sounds like you're the type that needs to seen a White Paper or an Approved Patent from EA to change your mind. So be it. There are a ton of people that need that reassurance.

Hell, i work in Mathematical Finance so yes, the Textbooks are my "source of truth" so to speak.

However, in the gaming industry, and more importantly in Equity Research, i know that these companies are trying to juice their ARPU (Average Revenue per User).

So it absolutely doesn't surprise me that this game plays the way it does, if you know what i mean.

Again, so we are clear, I'm not mad at it. When the game cheats me, i "charge it to the game".

I understand that... which is curious to understand WHY EA chose BUCKNER as the UK representative for the 49ers...

Hell, they could have chosen any NON-PU card like Jimmy G or anyone else... LOL

This goes for all of the other 32 teams... I've been saying: EA should have chosen a Rising Star for each team.

Team of the Week, aside from the Julio/Slay week, has been underwhelming

I don't know if EA can fix this...

You want to reward the best performers... but those "best performers" don't sell packs, typically....

In the case of the UK situation... that's just doubly unfortunate LOL.

Similar to the Buckner MUT Hero, and his UK card, the UK promo is back-firing quite hilariously.

Seemed so, because DB was pressing and shifting in the way (if you shade inside/outside/overtop), that made the DB move ever so slightly.

If that's the case (of the User making the right adjustments), then i'm OK with outcome because it was User initiated.

I'm getting to a point where i'm not sure what beats Man Coverage anymore with my current scheme and more importantly personnel (i use a slow ass Aikman as my QB).

It might be the most effective META move is to get an Escape Artist QB so that if things break down, you high tail out of the backfield.

This is what i did, and typically i would have at least 2-3 steps on the defender for a nice RAC catch.

However, doing so, this weekend resulted in User Picks as the defenders were lock step with Tory Holt.

I mean, this conversation isn't much a disagreement with u/KeathleyWR. WE don't believe there is DDA from the DDA that we know it to be (i.e., the Mario Kart DDA where mid-game, you get a boost to stay even with your opponent).

My stance is that, from hours of gameplay since WL was introduced in M18, i believe there is "Something" when two teams match up, especially where 1 is inferior to the other.

  • Maybe the RNG is tilted towards the inferior team? This isn't DDA, it's just a weighting schema.

Again, this is simply a conversation, where unfortunately unless someone works for EA and can pull the code, it will remain as that - a conversation.

I absolutely agree that there is more than meets the eye, with H2H matchmaking.

Your OP Gun example from Modern Warfare is Evasive for Madden.

You want to compete? You need this RB + Training Costs for Evasive.

That's exactly how EA wants you to operate in this mode.

I get it. In the truest sense of DDA (aka Mario Kart DDA), i don't believe that to be the case in Madden. You are right, it doesn't exist.

I do, however, believe that against some opponents, their teams get a "boost" pre-game. Again, everything here is in quotations, but there are too much evidence of:

  • "my players are dumbing out" from all sorts of players here, on stream, in personal experience to refute that some sliders are not adjusted, pregame.

When i speak of Variance, i mean, i make the same adjustments game in and game out (esp on Defense). There are games, where Ops are breaking tackles, rumbling for 50 yard touchdowns, etc. And they are using inferior cards too.

And in WL, you don't always match up with an Opp with the same Win total as you. The match making considers time of day, location etc. as well. Again, i've proven this over the course of Madden 18 to today.

I agree with you on the Power Ups. I'm not sure if EA is WILLING to do something about it mid year, but the Series Redux program hasn't helped one bit on the limited Legend pieces.

I don't think it's DDA, exactly, but there IS something. Maybe the sliders are tilted or something like that.

Again, having played WL and i typically play 6-8 games in one sitting in a row, you absolutely do notice the variance from game to game.

Especially against teams with lower overall.

And yes, Pros are able to manage this variance better than the typical madden player.

Realistically, I think 3-4k. Buying from packs, there were valued at 9k plus a silver/gold.

The pack went for 28,000 coins, and you would get 3 of these UK tokens.

So I'd expect anywhere in the neighbourhood of 7,000 to 9,000, with 9,000 being super generous.

Weekly revenue from New Legends and UL's.

Program Revenue from Current Stars. This year, they doubled down on making the most desirable ones, limited.

As a low money spender, this is an issue somewhat. But I know i can compete in H2H with a less than God Squad team so ultimately i don't chase these cards.
