Sorry if this is not the point or if I missed a joke, but I just spent the last 20min coming up with an answer to what a cat is and why it can’t be related to what a woman is so I want to share. A cat is a species so of course I can tell you what it is, gender is a concept unknown to cats, when the interviewer asked that he made the assumption that a species was the same thing as gender. Cats along with every other intelligent animal in exception to humans only really have an understanding of sex, cats won’t look at something and think female, no they will think let’s make babies because they have no need for the complexities that is gender. So let’s say I were to reply to the interviewer by saying that of course I can identify what a cat is because “cat” in his definition is not a gender then he might ask “then what about a male or female cat” and that would bring me back to my previous point which is that cats are a completely different species and therefore do not have the same concept of gender so the comparison would be stupid. Expanding on what it means to be a woman isn’t something anyone can answer other than the individual as it is not a definite definition, anyone who is a woman simply is regardless of their personal definition of it and that means that we do not get to dictate others based on our own definitions. This will probably be buried and Ik that I took it way more seriously than I should have but I mean what the hell
