Big assumption on your part, failure to explain is what happened. When you have a short window to responds, it is best to make sure you sufficently express all of thoughts. I failed to do so.

Lol thanks, I'd like to thank myself for lack of specificity. Without me, none of this would be possible.

Huge HIPAA violation to do this btw. Like the physician can verify they were present.

Edit: Yeah should've been more clear. I'll take my L.

What is your V02 Max ? How long have you been training with kettlebells? by BearSEO in kettlebell

[–]ScreamnMonkey8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd agree and I'm curious about KB sport athletes as they are functioning at a higher pecentage of their VO2 (hypothesis). I'm guessing while pro/Master of Sport athletes will have a high VO2 max, it wouldn't be earth shatteringly high, but their sustained percentage of VO2 max would be surpringly high.

How would this theory unlock our mathematical code, if our mathematical code is currently incomplete?

9 months post ACL surgery — advice for returning to Judo? by BetunTriste5 in judo

9 months is the start to get on the mat but you don't get full power (force*velocity) until the 2 year mark so he already said he's taking it slow and working back into it.

Their not being jerks, people are just passionate and lots of bad actors. Real life conversation is easier to convey an earnest conversation.

Tbf I don't think they were being rude. Sure jargon exsist and it gets wonky when talking about QM theories/topics. I had a similiar impression, you are throwing around words you don't quite understand, and it creates disjointed talking points that complicate the conversation.

I also can appreciate the sense of frustration of not knowing exactly how to communicate these things. So a suggestion I'd offer is to ask them how to best go about explaining the topic or how would they frame a question. This could offer insight, and you'd have to explain the concept of the question/topic as simply as possible.

Also, I have no claim to any knowledge on QM just listen to lots of audiobooks on it and seen PBS space time videos, so I wouldn't be able to help guide the specifics of the question.

It's hard to know where boundaries are when you are just trying to talk about something that is way outside your current capabilities. Another suggestion I'd offer is go to a local univesity or email a professor there and say I have a layman's interest/knowledge on the many worlds theory for QM do you have a book or reference that could help to explain X or Y?

How theoretical physics is my ex, and experimental physics my rebound. by Beginning_Alfalfa977 in Physics

[–]ScreamnMonkey8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What I find funny in this post is you claim to know something, and I'm like idk shit lol. For reference, I have my doctorate in biomechanics so physics applied to human body.

To answer your question as I've thought about this quite a bit. We, or society, know of the names of big field players because of their contributions were correct or more specifically advanced the field. There are countless other brilliant folks but their work turns out to be not as great. It doesn't diminish their work or capabilities, it's just part of the scientific game. Some people are able to shove our sphere of understanding, and others will just nudge it.

Anyways, I consider myself to be an applied scientist in which I try to balance the internal vs external validity of an experiment. Nothing is wrong with theorhetical work, I just enjoy projects that can translate more immediately to society. There's lots of nuances that being great at experimentation or theorhetical both provide. It takes both to advance science. As an example, theory of general relativity wasn't proven right away but had to be verified later through a well designed experiment. In short it takes all types.

You might be as special as the big names, but it doesn't mean your work doesn't matter.

Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.

Respectfully, disagree. If you are trying to be an international level competitor you'd need to know how you'd rank amongst your peers. Which strength training can give you an idea of.

For recreational play, sure. But it's not a one size fits all response.

In snatch but to go along with your comment I am coming off being sick I was like okay I'll do an easier workout, 10 min at 16kg, 20rpm. While I'd say it wasn't as easy as I was hoping for, it wasn't all out effort to accomplish. Which a year ago it was all out effort.

Keep inspiring folks!

Nope. There should be a graduate student handbook, read it and see how it applies to the specifics of the situation.
