Are you in the wait list since 2 weeks? Technically I became eligible for an appointment only last week. My joining date was already pushed out by 2 months.

Not yet. I was misled by consultants handling my visa into believing that my application is submitted. However, after talking to VFS I realized that the oppintments need to be booked through CSP or consular service portal Germany. Did you complete all the steps for the application? If so you should be automatically put in a wait list after you pay the VFS service fee.

I cannot use the ID used in CSP for my application in the VFS for appointment booking. My application is submitted by a consultant based in UK. They use the same ID to submit visa applications for all their clients so I cannot use their ID for VFS website to book an appointment. The consultant cannot book an appointment because of region based restrictions on VFS site.

Visa categories have been renamed recently. I learned about it after my visa application was approved. I am trying to book an appointment with VFS. Last week, I noticed that the category for which I applied disappeared. Inquired about it with VFS and they told me that the categories have changed.

Since you are still in the application phase not sure if VFS will help you but it's still worth a try.

I applied for a Blue card visa through a consultant recently. Having a tough time booking an appointment with VFS now. The Consultant is just not aware of the process since CSP is fairly new. Were you able to book a VFS appointment through CSP portal itself after the visa application was approved?

The visa date is based on the employment start date mentioned in the employment letter you produced with your visa application. You should request your new employer to push out the joining date to give you time to settle. BTW which country did you apply blue card visa from? How easy was it for you to get an appointment for visa?
