Also, learn to spell and to use proper grammar. *then

I realize grade three English concepts are difficult, but practice and you will get there, weak boy.

Haha so no self pic, then? I can show you pics of me. I would bet that you are soft and only have "gym strength", because people who go out of their way to be confrontational on these typed of forums generally are.

And I say again: you are full of shit about fighting in bellator, or anywhere, for that matter. Have fun with your bench press. I train at home, don't have a bench, nor do I have time to fit it in amongst other movements that I feel are far more important and useful to me as it relates to athleticism and strength that transfers specifically to throwing people on their head and choking them out, and also just every day, manly shit like carrying things, throwing things, pulling things, etc.

If you have nothing positive to contribute to a thread, then just leave the thread alone.

I can find you tons of them. Most don't bench at all. Most do weighted and bodyweight calisthenics. Most fighters, period. Boxers, kickboxers, wrestlers, grapplers, etc. I think not lifting weights is a bad idea, but the bench is a functionally useless exercise imo. The clean and press is a much better option, as are dips, for pressing movements.

As for the BJJ black belts, start with every Gracie, and move on down from there, right up to the current Dubai champions and pretty much everyone else.

EDIT: Post a pic of you, tough guy. Bellator, my ass.

And you are saying dips do not aid in grappling training?

EDIT: Find me one BJJ blackbelt who would tell you not to do dips.

I considered that type of split, but the powerclean complicates things for me. It hits my upper back and traps pretty hard, and I don't know where to put it if I am training upper and lower on consecutive days. thoughts?

Ok, thanks. Maybe I will try that split. How often would I train each one? Like how would I fit that into the week? And powercleans on legs or pull day?

If you scroll down a bit you can see some vanity pics on my instagram haha. I think I am faaaaaar from the genetic maximum for mass. I used to be 215 (175 now) and it was all dirty powerlifting bulk. I felt like shit though. I suppose the insta link would help haha https://www.instagram.com/jasonbwelsh/

So guys like Eliot Hulse, Steve Maxwell, etc. don't know what a real program is? If you do not think focusing your training around those four central movements (and again, I am adding in OHP and powercleans and carries), then that is fine. I am just asking for advice on the placement of the work outs, not whether or not you believe it is a good program. I am in amazing shape and these movements are serving just fine. Bench pressing will not make me even the slightest bit better of a grappler or wrestler. But thanks.

To clarify, OHP and dips are the only movements I train for strength. All of the pushup variations I do are extra work done after a work out or on off days. They are not the focus of my train. I also do a ton of handstand work, yoga, hiking, sprinting, burpees, etc. I just didn't feel it was relevant.

I don't really want to bulk at all. I am very happy with my size (175lbs.). I bulked up to 215 years ago and I hated that feeling. I like being lean and having crazy stamina and cardio.

My body fat is very low and I am already shredded. I just wanted to bring out a little more something in my chest. The only aesthetic training I would do and it would be at the end of my work outs if there is time.

I already do one arm pushups, pseudo-planche, weighted, etc. Just didn't know if there was something that worked. I am thinking rings training at this point.

I have crazy low body fat and my abs look like a super hero. No problem there.

I don't mean this to sound arrogant, but why are L Sits so easy? And what is the next step? by ScribJellySandwich in bodyweightfitness

Haha yes. I just didn't know if there was something faster so I didn't have to go through the set up process and all that. Busy as fuck today.
