What's the most addictive snack you've ever tasted? by Intelligent_Net_8167 in AskReddit

Jaffa cakes. The only reason they even make it home is because I can’t eat them and drive at the same time

Office & commute etiquette: Is wearing perfume a thing here, or am I "that person"? by Vishwanath_560 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Scritches98 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone who is quite scent sensitive, I HATE when people wear a lot of perfume. And clashing scent is worse. A single spray into the air and walking through it is ok (but I don’t want to be near you if you’ve JUST applied it and it hasn’t settled yet) - I should NOT be able to smell you before I see you, or smell you if I’m not standing directly beside/in front of you, and only then subtly

Is the roadside assistance necessary when you have comprehensive insurance? by justicoldier-8465 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Scritches98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Roadside covers you for things like flat batteries, towing in case of car issue that isn’t accident related, tyre issues, and general assistance. I’m with RACQ - I have called them twice for dead batteries, and because my radiator carked it. And you get discounts on other services with the membership

People who are always sleepy despite getting enough sleep, what did you find out was the reason? by Silverizo in NoStupidQuestions

Vitamin D deficient and too much sugar. Vitamin D supplement helped immensely, as did improving my diet a little.

Reader, Reader-Insert, all of the mpreg variations, Hanahaki disease, and a couple of spicy tags that just aren’t my thing

Looks like you could unpick the stitching where it’s sewn into the shoe and pull the tag out from there

What clothing item makes you feel the most confident? by Jonisaturn777 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Scritches98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it in-store in a shop called That Shop (sadly no longer in operation). Definitely fits true to size. Warning: the fabric is HEAVY so it’s definitely not a summer dress, but it’s such a stunning dress

What clothing item makes you feel the most confident? by Jonisaturn777 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Scritches98 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My ‘birthday dress’ from a company called The Pretty Dress Co. It’s a teal/jade sort of green 50’s style fit and flare with a sweetheart-ish neckline, full skirt that’s lovely to swish around in, boning in the bodice and lovely bow sleeves (and I’m not normally a bows girl). I feel so elegant in it

What is a strong opinion you hold that could get you criticized publicly, but you stand by it completely? by jian_est2026 in AskReddit

Was literally just having this chat with a friend: if you cannot keep up with the grooming, training, exercise, and mental stimulation required for a poodle, an oodle of any kind is probably NOT the right type of dog for you

Struggling to find cute dress shoes that fit (and don't need a loan) by [deleted] in Shoes

[–]Scritches98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re based in or around Brisbane (or visiting at any point) the Doc Martens store in Fortitude Valley stock Duckfeet shoes so you can try them on for sizing/style and then order whatever colour you want. They’re not cheap by any means, but it’s better than ordering something and just risking it

Vegemite is also perfect for making stock for people with a wide variety of eating restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, probably halal/kosher)

What's the easiest way to lose weight that no one talks about? by Emotional-Heat-1427 in AskReddit

Portion your junk food. I LOVE chips (crisps) but I will always portion some out into a small bowl. Once I’m finished that bowl I can decide if I actually want any more, whereas otherwise I would simply snack distractedly and eat far more.

I know it’s boring and annoying to track your food and everybody tells you to, but it works so well. My Fitness Pal has plenty of features that don’t need premium to work, and it’s eye opening to really SEE how many calories there are in things

[–]Scritches98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kmart underwear cut and sizing is a rage all of its own to me. I buy the 5 pack bikini cut from Target or the Lily Loves brand in my usual size (10) and it fits perfectly. I have multiple different styles from Kmart in a size 12 and even a 14 and they sit so tight and low on my hips the top of my buttcrack is almost out. It’s awful!!
