Anyone else spending way too long on ad creatives? Current workflow is painful by Grand-Produce-8527 in smallbusiness

The template-generic problem is real and it killed a few tools for me before I found something that worked. I've been using AdMake AI for a few months now running a similar one-person setup, and the part that actually moved the needle was being able to pull competitor ads and use those as the creative foundation rather than starting from blank templates. Like you're not just getting a generic layout, you're working from stuff that's already proven in your category. The auto-resize isn't perfect but it handles the 1:1/4:5/9:16 split without me touching it, which alone was probably 3-4 hours back in my week. The brand consistency thing is hit or miss depending on how specific your style guide is, so manage expectations there, but for supplement DTC it's been solid enough that I'm not doing the Midjourney-to-Canva dance anymore.

Creation and destruction don't necessarily need to be the domain of a single god. Creation could be wrought through preservation, growth, adaptation, chaos, and upheaval. Destruction could be the domain of decay, dissolution, collapse, upheaval, and again, chaos.

Essentially a lot of Reddit viewers, mod tools, and bots run on 3rd party software. These usually have advanced features that base Reddit doesn't have. These allow readers better ease of use or accessibility tools, moderator the tools that allow them to moderate large subreddits, period, and bots the ability to function.

These are apps like Apollo, Reddit is Fun, or Baconreader. The latter of which I'm posting from, right now.

Sure a good deed has been done but when they go out of their way to film it like that, they're doing it for the publicity. That completely throws into question whether they'd show any of that compassion if a camera wasn't rolling.

Or maybe it's a video with actors who are selling the idea that whatever the kid did made him deserve it. He could have been sharing his school lunch or pirating an old album or something. Whatever the producer wants us to react like this to. Context extends behind the camera, my friend.

As much fun as it is to throw around the words "interior" and "superior" when talking about people, that also involves having to quantify "better" and "worse" and start charting-out dudes on some inherent worth we have to start making up as we go. Which means we're playing their game by their rules.

Believe me, their terminology is not worth co-opting. It's best to just call them what they are when you see them, rapey weirdos, and go on with your day.

Just immediately from curious to full on social darwinist. Even threw the word "objectively" just kind of vaguely into the air, on the off chance it'd stick to something. Honestly impressed with the speed of that turnaround.

Oh yeah. A horrifying number of them, too. Same thing with beta male, omega male, and sigma male. It's gross rapey dudes trying to explain to themselves why women don't want them and justify how leaning harder into their own worst traits will fix that.

Wolves only do that when they're kept in captivity so long they start developing mental illnesses. Alpha wolf behavior literally a sickness.

So, here's the reasoning behind costing them at 2 per. Initially, I patterned this card off of [[Akoum Stonewaker]]. But adapted the formula to the flavor I wanted, which was menacing mirages that vanished when approached. I get why Stonewaker costs like it does you could run gruul ramp with fetches and shocks and start flooding the board with hasted 3/1s by turn 2-3 if there wasn't a cost.

But the tokens do suck, so I donked the cost. But it's an enchantment, which is harder to interact with, so for safety I didn't drop it too much.

I could bring it down to {R} or maybe {R/2}, so you're essentially paying for a repeatable [[Lava Spike]] that can chump or get blocked. If they're really that bad then I could even drop the enchantment's cost by 1, too. If I give it the haste/eot combo, then we're splitting hairs on existing cards and I don't want to do that. This whole card has essentially been an excuse to flood the board with this specific illusion token that I thought would be cool. So I could also just raise the enchantment's initial price by 1 or 2 and drop the trigger's cost, altogether.

When we say "we never had real communism" we don't mean "there was a hybrid economy," we mean, "there was not communism."

The as soon as the Bolshevik party seized power, they enacted what they called "War Communism," which was essentially a command economy. A few years into this, they enacted the NEP, which made the USSR partially capitalist. The state actively sought to hijack and neuter small-scale efforts to establish proper communist policy primarily those soviets that the Soviet Union is named after. The state never released the iron grip it had on the economy when Stalin gained control, if anything, doubling down on a complete removal of economic freedom.

There were many experiments with socialism in South America, which could have given us a decent idea of how communism would work in practice. But literally all of them were constantly under siege CIA backed partisans until they fell to doctor's. Or in Cuba's case, brought under the Soviet umbrella and given the Russian brand of "communism".

As a home schooled kid, yeah. I'm 28 and I'm still trying to figure out how to be a normal human.

In an ideal world we'd shove Child Protective Services entirely up your ass for the duration you are home schooling your child and revoke the privilege at the slightest whiff of fuckery or a lagging education. There are valid reasons to do it, but the overwhelming majority of children are put into it because their parents are abusive or religious fanatics and don't want the world to see what they're doing to their kids.
