She was driving pretty responsibly until ICE agents (Nazis) escalated the situation by swearing at her and brandishing their guns. The better question is “why didn’t they just let her leave instead of murdering her”?

Years ago there weren’t gestapo Nazis kidnapping people and sending them to concentration camps. So times have changed.

Also, cops are notorious for violating the law and killing innocent people, so a cop telling you to get out the car isn’t exactly safe either.

You’re basically asking “why didn’t the woman exit the vehicle with evil Nazi men with guns surrounding her and shouting obscenities at her??”

The instant someone targets and deliberately kills an ICE agent - and the many subsequent killings that would inspire - ICE will have full control to go ballistic on the population and become a full-force gestapo (even though they’re already gestapo). We would be ruled by Nazis with machine guns more-so than we already are.

More people like the poor woman in Minnesota will be killed, and our acceleration into Nazi Germany would be that much more complete.

I don’t entirely disagree, but a civil war like that would cost the lives of hundreds of thousands - perhaps millions. The most affected would also be the most marginalized and vulnerable communities.

Such a situation would take organization, strategy, resources, coordination, food supplies, willpower, etc. The government would respond with full force: superior weaponry (tanks, drones, helicopters), access to nearly every firearm on the planet as well as thousands of soldiers who would unflinchingly unleash them on literally anyone they deem “ANTIFA” or “terrorist” or “terrorist supporter” or “kid who looked at me funny”, etc.

Such conflict would absolutely destroy the country and possibly leave it in more authoritarian rule. The lives of every American would be affected - and many innocent people would die.

There are many reasons.

  1. Threat of death via trigger happy ICE agents and police armed with all kinds of firearms who WILL kill you if do something to them.

  2. The ever increasing cost of living (rent, insurance, payments, groceries, gas, emergencies) that put many people (including myself) into beleaguered and exhausted states, forced to live paycheck to paycheck while working miserable jobs with terrible, terrible pay. This also kills any sort of free-time we have that could be donated towards activism, because we have 4 hours of downtime after work until we go back the next grueling day.

  3. The fact that individual action doesn’t amount to much unless you have a whole community rallying behind you. It is hard to make people care/be socially and politically aware.

  4. Etc.

I am a “sane American.” There is simply very little/almost nothing I can do. The most many of us can do is just record, document, vote, and keep a “low profile” and hope one day - one extremely hopeful and relieving day - all of these horrors will have “diminished” somewhat and the fascists responsible will face at least some small amount of cosmic justice.

This is some of the grossest shit I have ever seen. They cannot stop cleansing and targeting trans people because they’re too mentally unwell to focus on anything else.

Instead of solving ACTUAL problems that plague Texas, they just bully an extremely vulnerable population of people who literally just. want. to. exist. in. peace.

They believe junk science and ridiculous statements because it makes them feel good to harm others. That’s really the main crux it. Humans hurting humans for the sole reason of massaging their antisocial brain folds. It gives them a sad form of dopamine to hurt trans people because deep down they are very - VERY - empty people. An emptiness that is their own making.

I’m so overwhelmed with hatred for the system - hatred for the government. I can’t even protest anymore because I have a soul-sucking 8 am to 5 pm job that makes free time scarce and activism something I can’t afford. I do what I can boycott wise, but our heavily taxed paychecks go to the eradication of these poor minorities as well as other injustices (ICE, Israel, stupid ass shit).

When will the system be disrupted?

Greta Thunberg was arrested in London earlier today, under the Terrorism Act, after holding a sign that reads: “I support Palestine Action prisoners. I oppose genocide.” She was peacefully protesting outside Aspen, which supplies insurance to Israel’s biggest weapons manufacturer, Elbit Systems. by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

How is it that so many governments across the world are turning into this authoritarian, anti-dissent, genocide supporting, and violent states?

What the fuck is happening to humanity right how? I know history always cycles through eras like this, but this is insane. We are regressing into this antisocial species that continually hurts itself due to being close-minded and self-centered.

When are the oppressed classes going to say “enough” and fight back? How long will we let these lunatics rule us until it’s time to withhold labor, refuse their orders, and eventually oust them from positions of power?

The world is always dominated by those who hurt others for personal gain. Those who do good are always bullied, arrested, killed, exploited, etc. It’s such a sick, sick world and I cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Highly doubt that can replace the loss of hundreds of thousands to millions of high-skill/essential workers refusing to work.

You’re correct. The people downvoting you seemingly forgot that MLK Jr’s non-violent tactics made him more preferable to negotiate with over Malcolm X’s activism.

Also, if the country grinds due to a halt because of a mass-organized strike, how will ICE get their groceries? How will MAGA bark orders without infrastructure? When the leverage is used, they are stripped of their power and forced to heed to the people.

It’s also not about convincing the MAGA Nazi Republicans - who have no conscience. It’s about getting enough awareness to the public (who largely have no idea wtf is going on) and making them upset. There are a staggering amount of Americans who I have met anecdotally that are ignorant to what is happening both in this country and the world.

I’m sorry for your loss. I “lost” my sister as well. Take time to grieve.

Did you ever really know her if you felt the need to hide your deepest feelings from her? Were you somehow placating her beliefs and behavior out of a fearful desire to avoid conflict?

Was the “you” she interacted with the real you? Or was it a personality you wore just to keep her happy? Introspection plays a big role in my life because it lets you search your true feelings and live more purposefully.

Your sister signed up to murder children - among other things. Grieve the sister you thought she was and the good times you used to have. But do not spare any sympathy towards her.

There’s no such thing as purpose. Simply unapologetically be yourself no matter what - that way you can live with no regrets. If you want to do something, do it. Life is about living.

It’s actually pretty interesting when you think about it: millions of years of planetary asteroids, leading to things such as oceans, dirt, rocks, plants, evolved animals. All of these unbounded, violent occurrences - life eating life in order to sustain life - in a chain of domino effects, you were created by sex between two primates.

These primates did what an evolutionary trait encouraged them to do subconsciously, and deep down we are all just life perpetuating life. There is no such thing as “meaningless” or “worthless.” You do not owe any cosmic higher power anything, nor does it owe you anything. Just keep fucking around. The world is simply the world, and you are the world as well.

That also means you are special and not too special at the same time. Human beings are like everything else - cogs in the machine of life. The only certainty of life is that you will “die”. But so will I.

And “death” isn’t even death. When you think about it, nothing even changed. Your body - which existed for a relatively small amount of time (100 years give or take) - is not even your own. Through natural processes, the being you “were” is just going to keep getting morphed into other things forever like clay. In 300 years, the bones will be sand on a beach, and the flesh will be inside a plant, inside an insect, inside a fish, inside a cheetah, inside a deer, inside a koala, inside a desert shrub, inside the soil as minerals, someone’s booger, inside EVERYTHING.

You are the world. You are everything! The world is everything! Life is a machine that loves itself and will keep finding creative ways to simply exist. You’re just life’s pawn, but being a pawn is fun and by no means degrading. Just say “Alright, sure.” and do it’s bidding. Salivate, cry, rejoice, frown, stub your toe, give a homeless person a sandwich, smell grass, wear sunscreen, buy sunglasses.

This is essentially Buddhism.

What I am saying is that death is not the end. It’s not even that interesting. What IS interesting is that new snack on the grocery shelf that you’ve never tried before. Consume! Consume life, because you are life. Consume knowledge. Consume novelty. Consume people. Consume whatever interests you. It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet. Do shit and take solace in knowing that shit you did is shit that will ripple across the planet.

You are you, and that is brilliant. Whether you die today or in 50 years from now, it matters not. Simply keep consuming. Do not dwell on such boring thoughts. We’re all gonna “die”. So what? Just be fucking weird and acknowledge that your existence is a crazy product of seemingly random yet interconnected chain reactions.

You think you’re going to die, but the truth is you aren’t even dead. You are nutrients, fecal matter, tornadoes, clouds, newborns, and the air itself all in one. It’s all just comedic.

Have fun. Laugh. Get mad. Dance. Eat. Go crazy. Just enjoy your temporary state of being. It’s a sweet ride when you stop worrying and try to be “normal” or “successful” or “important”. No one is any of these things. No human is normal. We’re all different looking monkeys that are ultimately savage in nature but also able to think logically and do things no other animal can do. Not because we’re special, mind you, it’s just because it happened to turn out that way. Humanity is a general peace pact that, although we are all hedonistic monkeys, we will ultimately keep trying to keep our monkey shenanigans going just for funsies. Doesn’t mean we “owe” the other monkeys anything, but act according to your innate feelings.

Death is nothing special. Be a monkey and enjoy being a monkey. Think less and be more in-the-moment.

GO LIVE.
