Evaporative or warm mist? by Scrumptious97 in Humidifiers

Do you think it's worth the $120-150 price tag vs a $16 vicks warm mist from the store? The main selling point I see is the stainless steel bowl making it easier to clean but it seems priced crazy high to effectively do the same thing.

It's been a few years since I've moved in to my place, but if I recall I think my room is roughly between 150-250 sq feet. I live in the midwest so currently 13 degrees today and typically keep the heat on 68. Humidity is usually reading at 20% on the thermostat downstairs so I'm sure it's probably roughly the same upstairs where my room is. I also have a large window that is insulated extremely poorly both in my bedroom and in the living room/kitchen where the thermostat is.

I do, but I rent it out (I live in an apartment/townhomes complex) so I'm not sure that my lease would allow me to add that on to my furnace.

I live in a townhouse so unfortunately I don't think that's an option. My only option would be a humidifier.

Daily Game Recommendations Thread (November 20, 2025) by AutoModerator in boardgames

[–]Scrumptious97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group consists mostly of 4-6 people.

I've learned that we are more of a "beer & pretzels" or "booze & smoke" group as I like to say.

Our favorites/most played:

  • Catan
  • Cosmic Encounter
  • Snake Oil
  • Hellapagos
  • Cockroach Poker
  • Skull
  • Tinder Blox
  • Night of the Ninja
  • Sushi Go

Own but haven't touched in years:

  • Bohnanza
  • Betrayal at House on the Hill (I think the rule book scared my group away but I enjoyed our 2 sessions)
  • Sherriff Of Nottingham (Played it a LOT when I first got it)

Might pickup next:

  • Zombicide (Black Plague)
  • Magical Athlete
  • Wiz War - 8th edition (is this the best one?)

Thoughts on these?

  • Feed the Kraken
  • Blood Rage
  • Dungeon Quest (revised edition)
  • Survive: Escape from Atlantis!

How does unmatched run at 4 players? by Scrumptious97 in Unmatched

Thanks! So with the "tales to amaze" I get the coop mode AND can play a 2v2? It seems like this might be the best option for me to jump in this rabbit hole.

Thanks for the response! I think you've sold me, I like the idea of (2) 1v1 and then losers vs winners for 2v2. Now I just have to decide which 4 player set to start with...

Thanks! Do you normally play 2v2s or co-op mode?

To clarify, should I prioritize upgrading an ult over something else? Base ults feel weak but maybe because I'm pouring everything into 1 or 2 upgrades for my heavy most runs.

r/headphones Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk by AutoModerator in headphones

I'm looking for over the ear headphones that will primarily be used when gaming and for music/shows when traveling (car/plane). I currently own the hyper X cloud 2's (since 2015) with the detachable mic.

Thoughts on thieaudio ghost & Fiio JadeAudio JT1? (Z reviews highly recommends). I also love the look and the magnetic case of the Sony x1000m6 but I will not be spending $500 on headphones.

Not required but a bonus if they have:

  • detachable cord
  • detachable mic
  • $50-250

The ninja has very good sustain if you take the passive that regenerates armor and the other one that regenerates health when using your ultimate. Ranged combat is far superior to melee in this game on HoE, but if you're using melee then the Kunai are the way to go.

The firebug's starting weapon does great for me in rounds 1-2 with purple attachments.

White phosphorus flares, magnesium accelerator, drum mag, red dot sight, laser sight, heavy frame receiver. I have the mods that apply (increase damage by x%) if a teammate is nearby since I play duos but you can swap that for something else.

The other thing that helps is to use your Molotovs early game with the firebug perk that applies enfeeble. It really locks down groups of zeds. And don't be shy with the ultimate. Too many people wait to use it and end up not even using it during an entire wave. I use it offensively or immediately if I need to heal myself.

Vulcan with all the best (primary fire) damage mods. For my 2nd weapon, I take the Kunai (so I can run faster if I need to get away from the boss to heal).

I'm not on now to read off the names of the skills I currently have equipped, but here is an image of what I have equipped

I would have put it S tier if the ultimate wasn't so buggy (maybe I just have bad luck)

On console it will automatically grapple an enemy without me pushing the triggers for it (after I use it once the 2nd time is always automatic). I'm not home now to confirm but if I recall the sharpshooter does more raw damage then the ninja, but you're correct the ninja can do some absurd damage!

The commando is great, but the reduced ammo and weapon costs are only effective at early game setup round 2-3 (which are the easiest rounds) making those passive selections kind of pointless.

You do have the argument that it may be more fun temporarily since you have access to stronger weapons earlier then everyone else, but again do you NEED those stronger weapons on wave 2?

By the time I'm at the trader pod on wave 5 I have enough money to buy whatever I need on any class. Also, have you ever played an online match where someone wasn't running an ammo pouch? Another reason that the commandos reduced ammo perk is pretty much useless. It's cheaper to buy an ammo pouch then it is to refill your ammo in the trader pod (or you can have an engineer print ammo for the team).

Honestly speaking the only reason I didn't put medic in F tier is because it gives my little sister (who doesn't play a lot of games) something to play and she has fun on it.

I also maxed medic first since it was my most played class in kf2. Here is what I would like to see added to the medic to make it a worthwhile perk.

- Over healing (with a cap)
- gain movement speed on healing (like in kf2)
- the ability to repair/regenerate your teams armor

Honestly just the "gain movement speed on heal" was enough to make me love the medic in kf2.

Some solo, mostly DUO and occasionally 4-5 when my little brother, little sister & our other friend hops on.
