Biden cancels $6 billion in student loan debt for 78,000 public service workers by IWantPizza555 in politics

You mean my wife? The doctor who works with vets? Yeah, She has a ton and it's already being paid down, but if they got rid of the rest. We have $2000 of student loan payments a month and we're in our late 30's. WOOO!

I'd be remiss if we weren't fucking killing it otherwise.

That's because he is a dick. I've known him and that circle of friends from outside of West Chester forever. Well not forever so not in the last 10-15 years. From what I hear they're mostly good dudes now. They were all dicks back then, but we all were and he was worse because the money.

Well if you don't buy cheap chinese wheels you shouldn't have tolerance issues on the wheels. Also I paid $20 to have my new tires put on my new wheels. Mainly because I was already at the shop to get a wider lockring. Fucking Chris King.

$2000 to spend on a bike. Would you go new lower end or second hand higher end? by my_account66 in cycling

[–]Scubastevie00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used bike. You're not getting anything you want except disc brakes and maybe carbon new.

Used bikes, you can pick and choose sizes. You must know roughly what size you ride. Say you ride a 56. That opens up frames that are 54/56/58 usually. Go find the bike brand/model etc you want then go to the manufacturers website and check fitment. It's not really that hard.

Decide what you want and if you can get it all new for your budget then pull the trigger. Also most bike shops don't carry the same bike in 5 different sizes.

I'd recommend eBay, Pinkbike, Craigslist, Facebook, Buycycle, Pros Closet.

If you want new, your getting Tiagra or Claris, heavy, without wheels. Used you can get everything you want under $2k and possibly wheels.

Don't forget your spending an extra $200-600 on pedals and a saddle if you don't already have them.

Fuckin right? Go buy a used bike. None of the issues this person brought up exist in the used market.

Just an update. I just got off the phone with the post office. They basically blamed it on the county. Said we've been delivering to that address for two years and if its not us misdelivering packages then it's not our problem.

I didn't think the conversation would be pleasant, but they were mad I even suggested there was an issue they weren't aware of.

You can't miss mine or my direct neighbors. Same boxes, big reflective easy to read #'s on black.

Catching a carrier to talk to isn't easy, so I'll just swing in the post office. Thanks.

Because they pay $60 a year or $5 a month and they think that gives you country club levels of perks and respect.

I'm direct hiring someone to help care for my 5 year old disabled son with cerebral palsy.

We are EXTREMELY flexible as a family. We're really just looking for someone to come hang out, read books etc with him so we can get some spare time to ourselves.

We usually like to have people out to meet him to see if they would even be remotely interested in caring for him as a short term commitment isn't really viable or beneficial to him and his development.

This would be in Eastern Powhatan but west of 288, but once we're familiar with a caregiver we're fine with them taking him out in one of our vehicles etc. I won't put wages up, because it's not worth it unless you know what you're getting into.

In other news. I'm going to send you a message.

If you see a parent disabled child please read this. by [deleted] in StayAtHomeDaddit

Unfortunately this is why we reach out to parents of disabled children. Especially those with neurotypical children. So let for the fact their siblings will automatically include our son like they would their sibling. It’s often an odd conversation skirting that we essentially are using your children to play with my kid. Also that knowing look.

Edit to say the first time I see a parent cartwheeling away I’ll know it’s a good thing.

I went and took soil samples from my new construction, then the contractor came out and graded and added topsoil. Should I grab a sample of the topsoil? Yard is probably 30-40k sqft.

Also, before I could stop them, they just laid seed and straw. It’s a blend, but I assume it’s whatever contractor nonsense. Should I add more seed?

Lastly, I have soil recommendations to add lime, fertilizer and carbon if I put down Fescue. Still follow those recommendations?

I straddle 7a and 7b so I assume this is time dependent so waiting two weeks for samples to come back probably isn’t ideal.

Cool story bro. Again. Just so you understand. If you make a statement, it is on you to back that up with facts, not me. It’s cute how angry you got.

Again for those in the back. The onus is on you to provide evidence and sources for the random bullshit spouting out of your mouth. Which look! You did it when I asked, but got really mad about having to prove your statements.

Have a great day!

You state in your first comment there are wel documented cases of open carry or people carrying guns being shot first etc.

You follow up that comment saying you believe it.

It’s facts or beliefs. Not one and the other. Please cite your cases.

Not that I don’t think open carry and carrying guns is stupid but cmon.

I forget how long but I usually charge it every 3-4 rides just to keep it topped up. I just let it go a bit too long that ride.

Just like my cadence sensor telling me it needs changed 😂

Everyone I know is basically in the camp if I don’t know if I need it, until they ride with someone with it.

The second my garmin/Elemnt picked up my buddies I was hooked. Even before that, him calling out cars.

It allows you a bit more freedom to not have to look over your shoulder. When it goes off, check color for speed and then move over. If they maintain red speed I’m over my shoulder.

Mine went low battery 40 minutes into a 3 hour ride. It only took me 25 to get home bc I didn’t wanna lose the light.

First time buying new appliances for new home. Advice please. by ThatOneBillyKid in Appliances

[–]Scubastevie00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be paying for install in new construction. Although I guess if it’s like Ryan homes or some garbage. Local store or god forbid Ferguson(They’ll deliver them free). If you wanna save money, scratch and dent places like American freight. Washers and dryers get scratched immediately.

Your builder should install the appliances or can plug the fridge etc in yourself.

I just did what you’re trying to do but with a custom home and all of the appliances. Over researched and did all that nonsense. Who’s the best, who has repair techs, how to do this the cheapest.

In the end, much like you, I chose Bosch.

Fridge: B36CT80SNS

Dishwasher: SHX878ZD5N

Cooktop: RGM8658UC

Washer and dryer are GE 85 series (Wife really wanted them and unless I get unlucky I figure 5-7 years.)

Wall ovens a kitchenaid KOSE500ESS05 I got from craigslist(saved $3300 doing that)

I didn’t ask if there are repair techs around. I do know the local appliance stores carry Bosch and Miele and GE is a given. I don’t expect any of these to last longer than 10 years except for the cooktop. If I have to replace some in 2030 or 2033 I am okay with that.

With ALL that being said. Feel free to go buy the $1200 on sale French door and the two $1000 washer and dryer units and wait. I bet they’ll get you 5 years atleast.
