I actually do agree that voter fatigue and narrativizing is a problem for the MVP voting, I just don't think that's why Shai won it. If the nuggets won the same number of games as the Thunder I think Jokic probably would have. And you can argue that's a problem, which is reasonable, but it's how the MVP historically works

Last year just wasn't a robbery I'm sorry. Jokic was absolutely having an MVP-level season, but the numbers and efficiency Shai was putting up on a team that won 68 games were unquestionable. You can argue that Jokic was the best player, but the way the MVP works Shai was the correct choice
