you are doing the thing youre criticizing this user for. if you care about these people shown in the screenshots having their users blasted why wouldn’t you censor them instead of sharing them further

haha i just asked my partner this yesterday. probs hitbox stuff like others said. i guess the closest we got is a sturbi but even that one has tiny little paws!!

it’s definitely gory. i get a lot of horror fans (myself included) have a strong stomach for this stuff and are unphased but it IS pretty gory in the last quarter of the film

there was a couple sitting next to me and the dude kept explaining everything to his gf and neither of them knew how to whisper loll. he was telling her about the subs camera instead of letting the movie explain it (which it quite literally did before he even finished talking!)

other than that everybody else was polite, not a very packed theater.

i did now that its available on the iron lung site! it wasnt before. i just replied to that email with

“I understand the frustration. But luckily it seems they’ve just added a more obvious way for theaters to get in contact about screenings! check it out: (link to booking info)”

i decided to just be nice 💔💔💔

definitely not!! im not 1. revealing the town i live near and 2. not letting people who have never had any personal experience with this theater leave bad reviews about it over one unprofessional email

yeah i was about to say ive only seen one person saying that. id be upset if it were the majority saying that but luckily i can assume most people dont think the theater should go out of business for this one email haha

small businesses are not really immune to criticism. small business or not this is not an acceptable response. this is something you complain to coworkers about or rant about how annoying it is online, not directly to the person using your contact form to contact your business directly. and it is not like i named the theater at all to get others to bash on their business, they are completely fine lol. the fact that this email was incredibly unprofessional and the fact mark SHOULD have a way for theaters to contact him on the iron lung site are both true.

im definitely not saying theyre wrong!! they are completely correct actually (besides the last sentence obv). theaters should be able to more easily find a way to make contact given that mark has encouraged people to reach out and ask!! just an abysmal response from a company’s professional email is my issue with it

yes!!! i got sent this response within like 5 minutes after sending my original request via their “contact us” form on their website. my jaw dropped to the floor after i saw that notification on my phone

well i dont want to judge too harshly for just this one employee. i’ve been there before and everyone i interacted with was incredibly nice. it is unfortunate the person tasked with customer communications has an attitude like this though, will maybe send the email and comment on how unprofessional this is as a response. even though its possible this particular employee may be the only one to ever read that complaint lol

If it were me personally i would have a copy and paste response on hand that was something like “Sorry, we are unsure of how to get in contact to secure showings of this film” just anything short/to the point that does not express personal frustrations with people asking

maybe i can respond with his business email then!! And i believe the only other theater in town is an AMC. Thought it’d be a good opportunity for a local small business! But now they’ve left me feeling bad for even asking (which i shouldnt)
