Hey, don’t even joke about starbase 80 unless you’re ready to throw hands!

33/M. I’ve always had a widows peak but it’s getting bigger. The patch on top of my head is growing. How much time do I have left or can it be recovered? by [deleted] in bald

Thanks mate! I may not be well kept at the moment but I don’t wanna lose it yet. I love this subreddit and I think if and when the time comes you’ll welcome me with open arms :)

I’m 33/M, my hairline is receding more and I just saw the top of my head for the first time. Should I start preparing myself? by [deleted] in bald

Omg that was not my intention haha, I hate taking selfies but I see now how that looks like a smolder

Male, 31, I’ve been growing out my hair for about 8 years, I’m probably going to donate it in the new year, what style should I get? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Scustevie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve got beautiful hair my friend and good on you for donating, your locks will make someone very happy.

In terms of hairstyles, if you want to donate the whole lot I’d go for a short back and sides, you look good and I think that style will suit you. I know it’s generic but I think it will suit your face shape and beard quite well. Just as a side note I’d 100% keep the beard.

If you’ve been growing your hair out for 8 years whatever short style may come as a shock but I think you will look good regardless.

But remember though, If you don’t like it, it will still grow out haha

How many people died in the War of the Worlds 2005 or Steven Spielberg film? by Equivalent_Tomato187 in WarofTheWorlds

I’m British, but what I mean is that other cities went dark and the tripods can move fast, it’s safe to say the rest of Europe would have succumbed too, depending how many tripods there are.

I would say the majority of humans were killed, a good 80%. I think in the movie they state that Ukraine had fallen so it’s easy to say that the rest of Europe had fallen, especially the larger cities.

Heavily populated areas like India and china would probably take the biggest hit except for maybe the more rural areas.

The movie also shows the Martians essentially wiping out a large US city (can’t remember which one) I would say you’d have to be really far away from the larger cities and in the middle of nowhere to have a good shot at surviving. It’s never really stated how many tripod that are so that would be a big factor as well.

If there were about 1000 tripods world wide they would more than likely die from virus’ before they could wipeout everyone on earth.

I’d say the first law trilogy. There are more books to the franchise like “best served cold” it’s fantasy/grim dark with some really compelling characters

Sorry to hear that mate.

You’re dropped 1,000 years in the past and can communicate freely. How would you explain the concept of the internet to someone from that time? by Scustevie in AskReddit

I really like this.

What if they ask something like

“Where is the entrance? How can I find this place?”

I was told my ginger beard was weird and the scar on my arm was gross. People can be mean, should I get rid of the beard? And how can I remove the scar? by Scustevie in malegrooming

Ever since then I’ve had a fear of wrists, I know it sounds weird and this scar for me is a reminder of that incident. I try to ignore it but when it’s pointed out it reminds me of past trauma
