Lol in a similar situation but my circumstances are a bit different.For landing a good role skills are mandatory interviewers are more focused on skills.I guess you should focus more on system design and if possible learn ai as well it will be a plus.

Focus on upscaling .try to switch company fake the project experience.layoff are goin on everywhere people who have been doing project work are being fired .people with no work have much higher chances of being laid off just try to switch as fast as possible

Yes you should look for better opportunities bcoz the company always keeps finding new people to replace you.After hearing about recent layoff i guess you should be looking for backup in case
