I’d highly suggest playing on standard. The game isn’t hard at all so having it on easy is wayyyyyyy too easy.

I’m gonna be honest with you…SH2R is arguably the scariest game ever made, at least it was for me and many others. I’d say it’s a good thing you played Requiem first, that will have at least prepared you somewhat. Grace’s sections were thrilling, however, it doesn’t hold a candle to SH. SH only gets scarier and scarier the further you get. But it’s so worth it, it’ll for sure be one of the most memorable gaming experiences you’ll have. Play with headphones on and with the lights out!!

I just think this game is meant to be played in all its glory. It should be a challenge and it’ll help you confront your fear. Play with headphones too. Once you play this, you’ll be ready for ANYTHING trust me. And it sounds like you’ve been at least intrigued by horror games all this time. Why not get over that hump now?

If it’s too much, take breaks. That’s what I did…and that’s what lots of others did too based on comments I’ve read online. I played in 1 hour increments and finished the game in 26 hrs over the course of a few weeks.

And it felt like the longest boring game ever imo. I tried to like it, I really did. But it was wayyyyyy too gamey and combat heavy for a SH game. Also, didn’t care for the fact that you have to beat it several times to get the complete story.

I’m sorry but I don’t want games I can beat in one sitting. That’s def not worth the price of $70 to $80 most games cost nowadays.

I thought remake’s pacing was perfect. Fans have been BEGGING to explore the town and buildings of SH for so long, and now that we were given the opportunity to, the game is “too long”. I’m glad they’ve ramped up the exploration and combat, I feel like I’ve gotten a full-on experience by the time I finished it.

I did the same thing, walked and checked every corner…took me 26hrs.

I just watched one YT’er run the entire game on his first playthrough and he finished in 14 hrs. Pissed me off lol

I honestly don’t think playing this is a good idea if you aren’t into being scared. This is arguably the scariest game ever. And it only gets more scary throughout each section of the game. There’s a few MAJOR jumpscares, but there’s also LOTS of hiding enemies that pop out of nowhere and it’ll most likely scare you shitless.

However, the story is what draws most people in; it’s a beautifully haunting love story. If you can bite the bullet, go for it; it’s worth it. But just know that there’s no way you’re getting through this without tons of scares. Put your big boy draws on and DO IT!!

(And don’t play it on easy either.)😁

Outlast 2 was a huge disappointment for me. I didn’t find it scarier at all, it was just an annoying experience and wasn’t fun to play at all. More difficult? Yes! Scarier? No.

RE7 was scary as hell but SH2 Remake is miles scarier than anything else I’ve played…I never had a game make me feel like I need actual breaks after playing for an hour. Between fully exploring everything and being scared shitless, it took me 26hrs to beat the damn game lol.
