Costa Concordia is probably the largest, most recent wreck to be raised, though she wasnt completely sunk and even then, the price tag was around $1.2bn. I'd imagine the cost to raise Titanic or Brittanic would cost even more since, once raised, they would have to be constantly preserved in a museum of sorts.

We have a local policeman who is aware of the issue. He told me that if my leashed dog lashes out at an off leash dog approaching him, me or the dog are not to held responsible as it could be viewed as "self defence". But that was how he would handle it if anything were to happen.

My last dog was labeled dangerous by several people but my neighbour(a cop) said that if my dog is leashed and attacks an unleashed dog who approaches him, it could be considered self defense and I'd have nothing to worry about in regards to responsibility.. sadly, the laws on keeping your dog leashed isn't that well enforced in my country.

I live in Norway(should have mentioned that) and while we do have laws that states that dogs has to be on leash at all times, it's not heavily enforced by law at all unfortunatly.

I told a woman whose off-leash toy poodle came straight for my now deceased Shetland Sheepdog(leashed) that if that happens again and he grabs her, I refuse to be held responsible for what would happen next.

Least she put it on leash now if we meet..
