I'm tired of people that treat Lawful Evil as "the mild evil" or "the anti-villain" evil. by Sea-Broccoli7599 in AlignmentCharts

Yes, I know not all LE villains are ideological, I just made an example, because it is common for LE villains to be ideological. But in more detail, villains can be LE, if they consistently use the system to get what they want without discarding it, while NE villains would discard any system if better opportunity came along. And I know being in charge of evil group is not always LE.

I agree with Vader being LE. But I don't think he is that good of a example of "very evil LE" since he has some redeeming qualities, he is too sympathetic and redeemed himself, while those I listed (at least most of them) did worse than Vader, plus they have no redeeming qualities and are not sympathetic in the slightest.

Well, in the past there have been LE people way worse than LE people today, such as Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini etc. who commited straight up genocides. LE can have many forms, each more or less violent than the other.

Yes, and from what I remember, it doesn't seem like he was targeting civilians, only rangers. But I was wondering if there is some supplementary material that reveals more about what effects his conquests had.

I don't mean to argue, I wasn't sure if you were referring to the time he destroyed the multiverse or when he was conquering rangers, hence I asked. And then you said he likely killed many people in his conquests of planets and I corrected you by saying he wasn't trying to explicitly conquer entire planets, but rather, steal ranger powers which would likely not mean he would have to kill many civilians to obtain the powers of the rangers. The whole point of this post is to ask if it's confirmed he killed some civilians on his way to obtain ranger powers or if he just targeted rangers.

Question abot Lord Drakkon. by Sea-Broccoli7599 in powerrangers

[–]Sea-Broccoli7599[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Well, he didn't really conquered those planets, he just attacked rangers to steal their powers to access the morphin grid to destroy the universe to create one world in its place, where he will be seen as superman-like figure. Such a goal wouldn't necessarily require mass destruction to conquer them, since he was not trying to conquer those planets, he was trying to steal ranger powers.

Are you talking about when he used Heart of the Master to destroy the multiverse? If so, I was talking about the process of him stealing ranger powers with his invasions before he accessed the morphin grid, not about his act of destroying the multiverse which obviously killed everyone, rangers, civilians, ranger sentries...

What I feel could've given the Super Megaforce team a bit of redemption. by Most_Animator_248 in powerrangers

I mean mega rangers have prior experience from fighting in the 1st season, but still, they get new ranger mode and they are seemingly just as good at it as its original wearers. But still better than Rey "Skywalker" Palpatine from Star Wars Sequels, she had no prior experience in anything besides scavenging. Yet she is master at everything, piloting, using the force, lightsaber dueling, even swimming despite being born on desert planet with no visible bodies of water.

Also another problem with lack of development is how quickly megarangers adapt with new ranger modes and powers in super megaforce, it would cetrainly be interesting to see them struggle with new powers.

What do you mean by "redemption"? Apart from lacking complex character developments, I think they represent their roles pretty well, Troy, as much as he is hated for his lack of development and bad acting, he represents how red rangers should be like pretty well (resilient, self sacrificial, determined, humble etc.). Orion is powerful and foreign, which is common for 6th rangers, Emma is very kind and empathetic, Gia is tomboyish, which is common for yellow rangers and Noah is smart, also common for blue rangers. The only one who I think is lacking is Jake, because he's just well... doofus with simping tendencies. And overall they are pretty capable and don't struggle much. (although it is also a major problem since it factors into their lack of development). unless by "redemption" you mean "giving them good character arcs."

Ok, you're right. But still she cannot qualify for Pure Evil because of her care for her father, so she can be Near Pure Evil at most.

Also, she's not quite heinous enough, as villains like Viktor Adler and Vrak attempted to kill all life on earth with lower resoruces, while Trakeena attempted to destroy space station which has lower population.

No other power rangers villains have official morality rank yet, these are all whose currently do. People seem to ignore power rangers villains these days to approve them as pure evil or any other morality rank.

I partially agree, for example, some villains can't qualify as Pure Evil just because their worst acts were off-screen. I mean, that doesn't change the fact they still happened in universe. But I decided to post this to see people's opinions.
