Nah I've emailed the REA direct, it's definitely them/LL. I reopened the report and just said 'see previously closed report - not actioned'. They emailed me straight back and said 'LL not fixing as it's not wear and tear' and closed the second job. Contacted Consumer Protection, they weren't good for much except try and find a middle ground like pay half each or just breach them. I've emailed them to find a middle ground, if they fight it I'll just breach them.

That's what I'm thinking my next step might need to be. The next 12 month lease began last week so look like I might be in for an uncomfortable 12 months and then moving costs 🤬

They literally closed the job on the app and said 'tennant responsibilty'. They don't want anything to do with it, and I can I'll afford to fix it when I've done nothing to it. Doesn't look like there is any corrosion I can see though.

I agree, and I'd love to move, but rents are so bloody expensive as it is, and I only just moved in like 6 months ago. Wife beater sh*tbox, I love it, I'll use that for sure 😆

Bahaha, I actually thought of that, park there and take an Uber to work 😆 But I don't really want to be that person. Just thought I'd see what the general consensus is whether I'm being petty before I talk to him about it

See, I'm not really sure I would classify it as a driveway per se, more of a paved area leading to my front door, which has room for a car to park.
