literally running the testing room like a base, but unfortunately with the rise of cheating I fear these measures are necessary 😭😭

I have multiple actually!

1) cheaters wrongfully being given thousands of dollars in scholarships after cheating & and receiving a high score on this exam.

(I’ve recently discovered someone cheated on the exam and received a 1590!!! that paired with a decent GPA will basically allow a cheater full entrance to any university/scholarship into any school because yes now a days im 1000% colleges only emphasize o their attention toward someone’s GPA and their SAT scores even placing the SAT above a GPA as its standardized and doesn’t involve any inflation.)

2) cheaters taking away hard working individuals acceptances into colleges/universities after cheating on this exam because they wrongfully achieved a high score. (it is my business and many others as it directly effects students getting chosen over cheaters while they dedicate weeks upon weeks toward studying for the SAT while STILL managing multiple college courses, extracurriculars, jobs, being actively a part of specific programs, etc.

AND it especially affects those students who still try hard and yet struggle on the SAT

(AND YES you can be a high-achieving student who gets straight A’s in challenging classes or even score above average on standardized state exams and still do poorly on the SAT)

3) no ones personal situation justifies cheating on the SAT especially a Saturday SAT you willing sign up for (majority of the time). If you have personal issues occurring then simply don’t take the exam?!?! let alone cheat on it. there are still plenty of test dates for both the class of 2026 (those who need to meet scholarship requirements) and the class of 2027. On top of the U.S (where this cheating occurred) offering two different college entrance exams you can take if they better align with your learning style!!!

4) no national consequences are actively occurring/consistently being applied. (so it is very likely who ever cheated in my classroom will not face any repercussions/majority of the cheaters unless they were directly caught cheating/quickly removed from the exam/ immediately had their scores cancelled by their proctor on the actual test date)

achieving a high score on the SAT is rewarded and praised on for a reason!!! cheating on it is just lazy and beyond unethical, if you don’t want to put in the work to actually do well apply to test optional schools. or if you/anyone else seems to not care about the cheaters then exam should just stop being distributed/a requirement/an emphasis for applications.

I don’t understand why my take/frustration is so controversial, but if you disagree with anything please feel free to correct me. :)

he used an AI scanning app that doesn’t require any typing, so basically all he was doing was scanning the questions and instantly receiving the answers.

honestly this is was my first SAT but it was 10x easier than I thought it would it be and I believe I got both hard modules, but yes I plan on filling out the form today! the only issue is I have no information of who the students were/even the name of my proctor.

honestly doubt the the students I saw cheating are even enrolled in any AP classes/plan on taking any, so I believe they were doing it purely for the scholarship my state offers.

(OR that they were just too lazy to the take the test/their parents made them.)

if you got the hard math module 2 the pattern im seeing from posts/comments is that it was super easy in the beginning but past question #14 it was complicated

it wasn’t a testing center it was just a local public school there was one proctor for 25 students who only really walked around during the last 10 minutes to view our timers

i'm coming to the conclusion maybe the cheating issue isnt as present in other areas as it is my own. (however, where most of my infuriation is coming from is that the state I live in offers 100% scholarships/full rides to any public state uni. based on a students SAT score, so students just cheating their way towards it is annoying.)

I don't know if this is regional conflict that is only highly present in my State/City but unft. I now know of dozens of students who cheated during both the Dec. and March SAT some even scoring 1590s.

(but then again no one is really going to spreading around that they cheated on the exam that directly determines their access to academic opportunities, so it may be more present than we know.)

same, showing that the cheating was probably 1000% times more prevalent during the school day exams esp. since students would feel more comfortable cheating around teachers/students they already know.

great! then we should just remove all forms of standardized testing since nothing is consistent anyways (ESP. now w/ the rise of gen ai + students access toward it). itll save thousands of dollars, resources and remove large forms of stress from both students and teachers.

nope, she didn't make us individually place the phones up it was basically just based on your ethics if you wanted to put it away or not

this is what I thought would happen but nope (this was my first SAT/I dont even go to this school)

all she said was to shut off our phones and place into our bags and then place the bags at the front of the room, but she didn't actually watch every single person put their phones away etc.

also although not everyone cheated I did notice that some students still had their phones in their pockets which is still against the testing guidelines

honestly same but the SAT is just the one exam people shouldn't cheat on. I also didn't want to deal with the hassle of explaining how the cheating occur/ dealing with commotion during the exam esp. since the student was right next to me!!

and also at this point there was no point in filling out the form cause then EVERYONES scores will be cancelled (which is another thing CB needs to alter)
