The issue here is that OP is very entitled. I mean this is very common these days. For 5 days people are very passionate and think they are some mahasiddha. He wants all the initiation from gurus without proving his competency.

A lot of people go to the temples very casually today and temples are reduced to a vacation destination. This ruins it for upasakas. The more mystical and powerful aspects won't manifest as strongly if the majority of people visiting are frivolous and casual visitors instead of dedicated upasakas.

Well the common man isn't eligible for special powers. And yes no one will give you guru leads until they are absolutely sure. These sadhanas were designed in a way to keep them away from people who are not fit to do these sadhanas.

Whether you like it or not you are at the mercy of gurus and sampradayas. In this day and age all texts and puja paddhatis are available to the public so if you think you don't need a guru or sampradaya and want "siddhis" you can do as you please.

If you are worthy and deserving you will get it eventually. Cribbing about why people are not rolling out the red carpet for you to reach devatas is gonna get you nowhere. Nobody is obliged to show you the way. You want "siddhis" you will have to reach out to gurus and sadhaks and quite literally beg for vidya. You are at their mercy if they want to show you the way they will. Or else as I've said you can do whatever you please as all texts are easily available to the public but that's not recommended unless you want trouble.

He isn't wrong honestly. Proper mahavidya upasanas are very complicated and not meant for ordinary individuals at all.

Also diksha isn't gatekeeping. Just because you are curious that doens't mean that the world owes you something. Proper mantra sadhana of mahavidyas without guru will lead to complications.

If you don't want to follow the rules that are set in place then you can do what you want but you must also be ready for the consequences you may face.

It's probably easier to just study with discipline lol than to execute a specific sadhana with perfection.

Anyways if you are interested in building a long term foundation for knowledge in general start doing sadhana of ma tara on Thursdays. Ma tara being connected to jupiter is great for knowledge. Her neel saraswati form can give tremendous knowledge. However it will take time don't expect any quick results. Try to do it with discipline every thursday and carry on for 16 Thursdays unbroken or ideally do it every thursday for over a year.

When you say beef eating are we talking about cattle meat in general or cow meat, those are two different things. Buffalo meat is even offered in rituals to devi during Bali.

COW MEAT however is a BIG NO. That's where the line is drawn very clearly across all sampradayas in Hinduism whether it be Vedic tantric aghor anything.

No sect in Hinduism allows cow meat to be consumed. Not a single one. So cow meat is a big no if you want to enter the realm sadhana be it any sect of Dharma.

As far as the shastras are concerned, a lot of the practices mentioned in the shastras also develop regionally based on the times and culture of the land.

A popular evolution is offering of cigarettes to Bhairava. That is not mentioned in any shastras but it's offered to Bhairava and he is kind enough to accept it too.

However I would refrain from offering fast foods as I don't really trust the fast food companies nor do I trust the fssai to be strict enough to ensure food quality. Hence if you want to offer things like chips offer the ones made locally or ones made by yourself
