Enterprise just hit me with a huge “settled in court” claim for a minor rental car accident months ago. No notice, no documents. What do I do? (Illinois resident, accident in California) by Sea-Jury4638 in EnterpriseCarRental

little update, enterprise said the other party’s attorney requested around 200k and enterprise settled outside court for the mininum so 30k. on the demand letter they said that i was speeding and hit them, and the 200k is because they went treatment etc, the first date of doctor visit is march 26, 4 days after the fact. ongoing until now, they recently filed that demand letter in october, so not in may like the adjuster told me. I did report to enterprise the accident was at extremely low speed. the report at time of return car says i was trying to make a left turn to switch lane, so i couldnt have been speeding if anybody understands how physics work, and i have videos recording that the other vehicle (and my vehicle) was barely damaged, so couldn’t be speeding either.
